I have been debating whether to leave a review for months, knowing how hard it can be for small businesses. However, I feel it is important to share my honest experience with Sky Clinic. I first contacted Sky Clinic because I had suffered from acne as a teenager and still bear the scars on my face. I understand there is no magic cure for this type of treatment, but I also believe practitioners have a duty to be clear about expectations and results. My first consultation was in 2021 with Jay, the owner and practitioner. I explained the emotional distress caused by my scars, and Jay appeared very considerate with extensive experience. He even told me he could guarantee results if I was patient, which convinced me that I had found someone different from the usual dermatologists. Between 2021 and 2024, I underwent roughly 25-30 treatments over three years, a combination of microneedling and a radio type skin treatment. I spent over £3000 during this period and can honestly say that my scars did not improve. In fact, I would not be surprised if the treatment actually worsened my skin by triggering breakouts. During that time, I believed I had grown close to Jay and saw him as a friend. In hindsight, it is clear that I was just another patient. Jay was sympathetic to my plight and even altered the treatment and offered three sessions as a goodwill gesture in an attempt to achieve better results. Despite all this, nothing worked. My anger stems from the fact that despite the lack of progress, Jay pushed me to continue the treatment, repeatedly insisting I be patient. He even tried to persuade me with before and after photos that barely showed any difference. I felt trapped in a situation where I had invested so much over three years that I could not simply walk away, which only added to my sense of being treated unethically. I repeatedly asked Jay to send me the before and after photos he claimed to have taken before each treatment, but he never shared them – perhaps because he knew the results were unsatisfactory. While it is possible that this is an isolated incident and that other treatments at the clinic may yield better results, the staff have always been very pleasant when I visited. However, that does not change my experience with this particular treatment. I am deeply disappointed. I made it clear how important it was for me to see improvements in my scars, and I felt that my vulnerability was taken advantage of. To Jay, you had plenty of opportunities to address this, yet even when I messaged you directly that I was open to other options if you would send me all of my before and after photos, yet you ignored my messages. To anyone considering microneedling or any scar-related treatment at Sky Clinic, please think very carefully before proceeding. Jay may seem charming and genuine at first, but after my experience, I feel mistreated, exploited and completely let down.
