I’m usually not one to leave reviews, but I felt it was important to share my experience. Unfortunately, I have had two unpleasant appointments with this dentist, both due to her unprofessional manner. During a previous visit, she made inappropriate comments about my teeth being yellow, (they really aren’t it was to try and get money of me) which my father formally complained about as I was a young girl who had just been made to have a new insecurity about apparently yellow teeth. At my most recent appointment, where I was complaining about my wisdom teeth biting my cheeks she again made a personal remark stating I had “chubby cheeks” and that’s probably why I was biting them (I understand this could be a correct anatomical reason however the way she said it was unprofessional whilst grabbing my cheek as she said it). She offered to file them down, but as a student nurse I wanted to check if there would be a charge before agreeing as I would need to save up for it if it was going to cost a lot. As I had tools in my mouth i waited until the end of the appointment to ask her the cost so I could get it booked in for next time as it was causing me pain. When I asked for clarification on the cost, she was dismissive and made me feel embarrassed for asking, refusing to give me a clear answer and stating that “you didn’t want that done” over and over again. It was only when the dental assistant (who was lovely and very professional) intervened that I learned the procedure was actually free. After the filing, the dentist appeared irritated and ended the appointment abruptly without offering a mouth rinse, leaving me feeling uncomfortable and disrespected. As someone who also works in healthcare, I value empathy, professionalism, and good communication — none of which I experienced during these visits. I will be requesting not to see this dentist again. I have been with friends forever and am used to a much higher level of patient interaction than what I have received with this specific dentist the past two visits. I am not happy.

I am very satisfied with my doctor. Although I usually find it difficult to feel comfortable with doctors I don’t know, he managed the situation very well — professional, polite, and with a good sense of humor. The whole team is polite and welcoming. However, I would suggest reviewing the current policy regarding appointment cancellations or rescheduling, as unexpected situations can happen to anyone.

I recently had a deep cleaning with Dr. Roberta Almeida, and she did a fantastic job. The procedure was carried out with great care, and she made sure I felt comfortable throughout. From my first visit, she explained each step clearly and shared helpful tips for maintaining long term oral health, which gave me real confidence. Her assistant, Ellexia, was also very friendly and supportive, making the whole experience even better. I’d highly recommend them!

I had a fantastic experience with Rebecca the hygienist. It was my first appointment in almost two years and she took the time to make me feel really comfortable and understand the concerns I had with my teeth. I had a baby last year and pregnancy and post partum had affected my teeth and left me feeling insecure but Rebecca was very kind and considerate about this and offered reassurance that we could get them back to being sparkling clean. I’m so glad I went to see her as my teeth feel so clean again now and look noticeably brighter! 🦷✨

I have been a private patient with Friends Dental Practice and I must say, they have been incredible. From the kind reception staff that welcome you with a smile and make sure to schedule your appointments at the best time for you to their medical staff. Finding a great dentist it's a difficult task to achieve, but Dr Jaume is beyond any words can describe. His work is excellent, painless (big statement for dental work) and his ethic and character are outstanding. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone! Dental hygiene is also very precious and Ms Bala is one of the kindest persons I've met. She's incredibly gentle and caring during each appointment, and my teeth have never felt better than leaving after one appointment with her.

This was my first visit to Friends Dental Practice and I was very impressed. Such a lovely bright environment and friendly staff. Dr.Irena was very helpful and dealt with my problematic tooth with efficency and kindness. I would have no hesitation in recommending both the practice and Dr.Irena.

I always have a great experience when I go in for my dental hygiene appointments with Dr. Bala and her assistant Amanda. Dr. Bala is very knowledgeable, professional, but also friendly and kind. She takes great care to make sure everything is done thoroughly and comfortably. She makes me feel completely at ease throughout the entire visit, and always take the time to give helpful advice and recommendations for my oral health. My teeth have never felt cleaner! I truly appreciate the excellent care they provide and always leave feeling well looked after!

We had a wonderful experience with Dr.Sai and his nurse Electra! They were incredibly patient, kind, and gentle with my 3-year-old during a filling. I was nervous going in, but the staff made both of us feel at ease right away. They explained everything in a way my child could understand, and kept the mood light and fun. The procedure was quick, smooth, and completely stress-free. I’m so grateful we found a dentist who truly knows how to work with young children — highly recommend!

Very clean place, light and bright. Very nicely decorated. Receptionist clear and patient with explaining finance, and booking system. Dentist did have an accent (which I struggle with) but again was patient in explaining treatment, and what she was doing. Also very thorough. Finance option available and easy to book. Can book on website too. All staff Very friendly.

I am a new patient, I got an appointment for an examination, the same day as phoning to enquire. The reception staff are friendly, happy & professional. Filled in a lifestyle/health & contact form using a provided ipad upon arrival whilst waiting in the very nice, relaxing waiting area. Saw the dentist who was running a little late (about 10 minutes), who examined my teeth, gums & soft tissues followed by xrays plus a photo of a potential problem area. Once xrays processed, then the dentist went through all the details of the examination showing the results on a large TV screen, so easy to see giving advice as needed. Both the dentist & assistant were very pleasant. Prices are very competitive with other private practices. Strongly recommend.
