If I could leave 100 stars I would! Mr Marando and his team made my whole MIA experience a genuinely absolute pleasure, and I am overjoyed with the life changing results. Massive thank you to Mr Marando for your knowledge, guidance and skill. And to the whole hospital team (shout out to Tracey who was the best nurse anyone could ask for). Also to Vicky and Chantelle on reception for being so attentive and lovely, what a team! ❤️

I recently had Mia Femtech surgery with Mr Marando and cannot speak highly enough of the care I received. From the very first consultation through to post-operative care, Mr Marando was professional, kind, and completely transparent. He took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all my questions, and made me feel fully informed and at ease every step of the way. On the day of surgery, his calm and reassuring manner made all the difference. I felt genuinely cared for, not just as a patient but as a person. The results already look fantastic and I’m confident the final outcome will be even better. If you’re looking for a surgeon who combines exceptional skill with empathy and integrity, I would wholeheartedly recommend Mr Marando. Thank you again for everything I’m incredibly grateful.

I can not rate Mr Marando and the whole team at Star clinic highly enough. From the first enquiry right through to the after care every one I have dealt with has been friendly and professional. I am so pleased with the results following my MIA procedure and have felt fully supported through the entire process. The clinic is beautiful more like a hotel really. Star Clinic is truly exceptional in every way.

I recently had the MonaLisa Touch treatment at the Pinewood Clinic and couldn’t be happier with the experience. I saw Dr. Jane Long for all three sessions, and she made me feel incredibly comfortable from the very beginning. I was initially nervous about what to expect, but both Dr. Long and Jodie explained everything clearly and guided me through the process step by step. The treatment itself was quick and very effective — I only wish I had done it sooner! Without a doubt, five stars from me. The clinic also offers a wide range of other treatments, and I’ve already booked a consultation with their dermatologist. Highly recommend!

I am in my 50s and recently had a consultation with Dr Amina about collagen banking for my intimate area to help with menopausal dryness, and a little discomfort. I’ve now had two treatments with injectables and the experience has been excellent. I was given local anaesthetic, so the procedure wasn’t painful at all, and the setting was calm and relaxing. By the time I left the room it felt as though nothing had happened - no pain, no soreness, just reassurance that I was taking the right step for me and my wellbeing. Dr Amina is professional, gentle, and explained everything very clearly, which made the whole thing so much easier. I’m already noticing improvements and feel very positive about completing the course of treatments. Highly recommended for any woman considering this.

Dr. Sima is honestly such a lovely doctor. She’s young, beautiful, so approachable and kind, and she really listened to what I needed. I went to see her because I just wanted to look after my health “down there”, not because I’m old, but because I’ve had a child and wanted to make sure everything stayed healthy, that my pelvic floor remained tight, and also that the appearance was nice. From the first consultation I felt completely at ease, and we decided to go ahead with Morpheus V and Morpheus V Tone. Even after just one session I could already feel a difference: more comfort, more confidence, and I just feel better in myself. I’d highly recommend any woman to look into this, we all take care of our face, but it’s just as important to look after the rest of our body too.

Approximately two months ago I had a vaginal treatment using radio frequency and fillers. Amita was fantastic in explaining to me what to expect during the treatment, and also on how it works. I have to say that I expected it to be far more embarrassing! I always dread having my smear test and coil fitted in the past. The radio frequency, whilst working in a sensitive part of my body, was actually relaxing. The probe used does not penetrate the intimate area, and gives a pleasant warm sensation. I also received a collagen filler to give a natural ‘plump’ look. I am 57 years old and produce little oestrogen due to being menopausal. Fortunately whilst I have no signs of incontinence, I was having to get up once in the night. Thus reducing my quality of sleep, however this is no longer the case. Also with the tightening of my muscles which continued over the weeks following, also allowed more sexual pleasure. I can highly recommend this to any woman who has suffered from vaginal atrophy.

I had intimate rejuvenation at the Vie Aesthetics Rayleigh Clinic and all I can say is WOW! From the exceptional hospitality of the staff to the cleanliness, innovative technology and high end products. My treatment has been life changing and I appreciate the attention to detail, patience and consideration throughout. Thank you to the team for making what could otherwise have been an awkward or embarrassing procedure so quick, comfortable and convenient for me, so that I could return to my day with my procedure totally undetectable. I am over the moon with my results, my partner is equally just as happy and you've given me a new zest for life as I approach my 40's. Highly recommended 5*****

FAQs

Vaginal rejuvenation can be effective for addressing various concerns, though results vary depending on the specific treatment type, the concerns being addressed and individual factors. The term encompasses both surgical and non-surgical treatments. For non-surgical treatments like laser or radiofrequency therapy, clinical studies and patient reports show that many women experience improvements in vaginal laxity, mild stress urinary incontinence, vaginal dryness, sexual function and satisfaction, and overall vaginal health and comfort. Success rates vary, with some studies showing 60% to 80% of patients reporting significant improvement in symptoms. However, effectiveness depends on the severity of concerns, with mild to moderate issues responding better than severe problems; realistic expectations about the degree of improvement; the specific technology and treatment protocol used; and individual factors like age, hormonal status and tissue quality. For surgical vaginal rejuvenation (vaginoplasty), results are generally more dramatic and permanent for addressing significant laxity, though the procedure is more invasive with longer recovery. Non-surgical treatments work best for mild to moderate concerns and often require maintenance sessions. Some concerns like severe prolapse, significant incontinence or extensive tissue damage may require surgical intervention rather than non-invasive treatments. A thorough consultation with a qualified gynaecologist or specialist can help determine which approach is most likely to address your specific concerns effectively.

Prices for Vaginal Rejuvenation vary between clinics and depend on the chosen approach (surgical vs non-surgical), the treatment area, complexity and the number of sessions required. In the UK the price of Vaginal Rejuvenation typically ranges from around £300 to £1500, with final cost influenced by the device or product used and the practitioner’s experience. If you’re researching how much Vaginal Rejuvenation costs or the cost of Vaginal Rejuvenation overall, expect a personalised treatment plan and quote after consultation. You can find the exact, up-to-date price for this treatment in the catalogue

Vaginal rejuvenation is an umbrella term covering various treatments, both surgical and non-surgical, designed to address changes in vaginal structure, function and appearance. These treatments can address concerns including vaginal laxity or looseness, often following childbirth; stress urinary incontinence (leaking with coughing, sneezing or exercise); vaginal dryness and discomfort; reduced sexual sensation or satisfaction; vulvar or labial appearance concerns; and symptoms related to menopause or ageing. Non-surgical vaginal rejuvenation typically uses energy-based devices including laser therapy (such as CO2 or erbium lasers), which delivers controlled heat to vaginal tissue to stimulate collagen production and tissue remodelling; radiofrequency (RF) treatments, which heat tissue to tighten and rejuvenate; or other energy modalities. These treatments are typically performed in-office without anaesthesia, require no incisions, involve minimal discomfort and downtime, and may need multiple sessions plus maintenance treatments. Surgical vaginal rejuvenation includes vaginoplasty, which tightens the vaginal canal; labiaplasty, which reshapes the labia; or perineoplasty, which tightens the perineum. These procedures are more invasive, performed under anaesthesia, provide more dramatic and permanent results, but involve longer recovery periods. The appropriate treatment depends on your specific concerns, their severity, overall health, whether you plan future pregnancies and personal preferences. Vaginal rejuvenation addresses both functional concerns (like incontinence or pain) and quality of life issues (like sexual satisfaction), and is increasingly recognised as a legitimate area of women's health care when performed by qualified specialists.

Vaginal rejuvenation works differently depending on whether surgical or non-surgical methods are used. Non-surgical vaginal rejuvenation, typically using laser or radiofrequency energy, works by delivering controlled thermal energy to the vaginal tissue. The heat causes several beneficial effects: immediate collagen contraction, creating some instant tightening; stimulation of fibroblasts to produce new collagen and elastin over the following weeks and months; improved blood flow and tissue hydration; thickening of the vaginal epithelium (lining); and remodelling of the vaginal tissue architecture for improved tone and elasticity. During treatment, a specialised handpiece is inserted into the vagina, delivering energy in a controlled pattern to the vaginal walls. The procedure is relatively quick, typically 15 to 30 minutes, causes mild discomfort but is generally well-tolerated, and requires no incisions or anaesthesia. Multiple sessions are usually needed, typically 2 to 3 treatments spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart, with results developing gradually over weeks to months as collagen production increases. Maintenance treatments are often recommended annually. Surgical vaginal rejuvenation (vaginoplasty) works by physically removing excess vaginal tissue and tightening the vaginal muscles and surrounding structures through surgical techniques under anaesthesia. This provides immediate structural changes with more dramatic and permanent results, though involves surgical risks, anaesthesia, incisions, stitches and a recovery period of several weeks. The choice between non-surgical and surgical approaches depends on the severity of your concerns, with mild to moderate issues suitable for non-surgical treatment and more significant problems potentially requiring surgery. Both approaches aim to improve vaginal tone, function and sensation, though through different mechanisms and with different risk-benefit profiles.

Laser vaginal rejuvenation is a non-surgical treatment that uses specialised medical lasers, typically fractional CO2 or erbium lasers, to treat various vaginal concerns by delivering controlled laser energy to the vaginal tissue. The laser creates microscopic columns of thermal injury in the vaginal walls, which triggers the body's natural healing response, stimulating collagen and elastin production, improving tissue quality and elasticity, enhancing blood flow and lubrication, and thickening the vaginal lining. Common laser systems include MonaLisa Touch, FemiLift, IntimaLase and others. The treatment can address vaginal laxity and looseness; vaginal dryness and atrophy, particularly related to menopause; mild stress urinary incontinence; genitourinary syndrome of menopause (GSM); painful intercourse; and improved sexual sensation and satisfaction. The procedure is performed in a clinical setting without anaesthesia or with just topical numbing, involves inserting a specialised laser probe into the vagina that delivers 360-degree treatment to the vaginal walls, takes approximately 15 to 30 minutes, causes mild discomfort, warmth or slight cramping but is generally well-tolerated, and requires no incisions, stitches or significant downtime. Most protocols involve 2 to 3 treatment sessions spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart, with results developing gradually over several weeks to months. Maintenance treatments are typically recommended every 12 to 18 months to sustain benefits. Laser vaginal rejuvenation offers a less invasive alternative to surgical options for women with mild to moderate concerns, with minimal recovery time and good safety profile when performed by qualified practitioners. However, it is not suitable for everyone, particularly those with active infections, certain medical conditions or severe anatomical problems that would require surgical correction.

The level of discomfort during vaginal rejuvenation varies significantly depending on whether you have surgical or non-surgical treatment. For non-surgical laser or radiofrequency vaginal rejuvenation, most women find the treatment tolerable with minimal pain. During the procedure, you may feel warmth, mild tingling, slight pressure or cramping, brief stinging sensations, or general discomfort, but these sensations are typically described as mild to moderate rather than painful. Most treatments require no anaesthesia, though some practitioners offer topical numbing gel for sensitive patients. The discomfort is usually brief, lasting only during the actual treatment (15-30 minutes), and most women tolerate it well without pain relief. After non-surgical treatment, you may experience mild soreness, sensitivity or discomfort for a day or two, similar to mild menstrual cramping, but this is generally manageable with over-the-counter pain relief if needed. For surgical vaginal rejuvenation (vaginoplasty), the procedure itself is performed under anaesthesia so you will not feel pain during surgery. However, post-operative recovery involves more significant discomfort including pain, swelling and soreness in the treated area for several days to weeks; discomfort with sitting, walking or using the toilet initially; and the need for prescription pain medication during the first week or two. Recovery pain gradually improves over several weeks. The level of discomfort also depends on individual pain tolerance; the specific device, settings and technique used for non-surgical treatments; the extent and type of surgical procedure if applicable; and how you respond to treatment. Most women find non-surgical vaginal rejuvenation much more comfortable than anticipated, with discomfort being minimal and brief. If you are concerned about pain, discuss this with your practitioner beforehand so they can take appropriate measures for your comfort and provide realistic expectations.

Vaginal rejuvenation is generally considered safe when performed by qualified, experienced practitioners using appropriate techniques and devices, though safety profiles differ between surgical and non-surgical approaches. Non-surgical vaginal rejuvenation using laser or radiofrequency has a good safety record with minimal serious complications when performed correctly. Common side effects are typically mild and temporary, including vaginal discharge or spotting for a few days; mild swelling, sensitivity or discomfort; temporary increased vaginal dryness; and slight cramping. Rare but potential complications can include infection if post-treatment instructions are not followed; vaginal burns or tissue damage if settings are too aggressive or technique is poor; scarring or adhesions in very rare cases; and unsatisfactory results or worsening of symptoms. Safety depends heavily on proper patient selection through thorough medical assessment, with treatments not suitable during pregnancy, active infections, certain medical conditions or immediately postpartum; using FDA-cleared or CE-marked devices designed specifically for vaginal treatment; treatment by qualified medical professionals with appropriate training, not beauticians or unqualified practitioners; following post-treatment restrictions including abstaining from intercourse, tampon use and swimming for the recommended period; and realistic expectations about results. Surgical vaginal rejuvenation carries more significant risks inherent to any surgery including anaesthesia risks, bleeding, infection, scarring, pain, nerve damage, and potential complications affecting sexual function or urination. The safety of vaginal rejuvenation has been questioned in some regulatory reviews, with concerns about long-term effects and appropriate marketing claims. It is crucial to choose a qualified gynaecologist, urogynaecologist or appropriately trained specialist who conducts thorough consultations, discusses realistic benefits and risks, uses proper techniques and provides comprehensive follow-up care. Avoid treatment at non-medical settings or by unqualified practitioners. For many women with appropriate concerns, vaginal rejuvenation can be safely performed with good outcomes, but thorough research and consultation are essential.

Recovery time after vaginal rejuvenation varies dramatically depending on whether you have surgical or non-surgical treatment. For non-surgical vaginal rejuvenation (laser or RF treatment), recovery is minimal with most restrictions lasting only a few days. Immediately after treatment, you may experience mild discharge, spotting or sensitivity for 1 to 3 days; slight discomfort or cramping, usually resolving within 24 to 48 hours. Activity restrictions typically include abstaining from sexual intercourse for 3 to 7 days (depending on practitioner protocol); avoiding tampon use for several days; avoiding swimming, hot tubs or baths for a few days; and resuming normal daily activities immediately or within 24 hours. Most women return to work the same day or next day, and full recovery occurs within one week. For surgical vaginal rejuvenation (vaginoplasty), recovery is much more extensive. The timeline typically follows: the first week involves significant pain, swelling and discomfort requiring prescription pain medication and rest, with limited mobility and inability to work for most people; weeks 1 to 2 require continued rest, avoiding heavy lifting, strenuous activity and prolonged sitting or standing; weeks 2 to 4 see gradual improvement with most people returning to work by 2 to 3 weeks (for non-physical jobs); weeks 4 to 6 allow gradual return to light exercise and normal activities; and full recovery including resuming sexual activity typically takes 6 to 8 weeks or longer, only when cleared by your surgeon. Post-surgical restrictions include no sexual intercourse for 6 to 8 weeks; no tampons, douching or inserting anything vaginally during healing; avoiding heavy lifting and strenuous exercise for 4 to 6 weeks; and attending all follow-up appointments to monitor healing. The recovery from surgical procedures can be uncomfortable and requires planning for time off work and assistance with daily activities. The choice between non-surgical and surgical vaginal rejuvenation should consider not only the expected outcomes but also your ability to accommodate the recovery period required. Always follow your specific practitioner's post-treatment instructions carefully to ensure optimal healing and results.

Before vaginal rejuvenation, women typically have various concerns including vaginal laxity or looseness, often following childbirth, affecting sexual sensation and satisfaction; stress urinary incontinence causing embarrassing leaking with coughing, sneezing, laughing or exercise; vaginal dryness, discomfort or pain, particularly related to menopause or hormonal changes; reduced sexual sensation, decreased lubrication or difficulty with arousal; discomfort during intercourse; or general dissatisfaction with vaginal function or appearance. These concerns can significantly impact quality of life, intimacy, confidence and daily activities. After vaginal rejuvenation treatment, whether surgical or non-surgical, and once healing is complete and results have fully developed (typically 3 to 6 months for non-surgical treatments, longer for surgical), many women report significant improvements. Common reported benefits include improved vaginal tightness and tone; better sexual sensation and satisfaction for both partners; reduced or eliminated stress urinary incontinence; improved vaginal lubrication and reduced dryness; decreased discomfort or pain during intercourse; increased confidence and improved quality of life; and better overall vaginal health and function. The degree of improvement varies considerably depending on the severity of original concerns, with mild to moderate issues typically showing better improvement than very severe problems; the treatment type, with surgical procedures generally producing more dramatic changes than non-surgical; realistic expectations and appropriate candidate selection; and individual healing response and tissue quality. For non-surgical treatments, results are generally subtle to moderate rather than dramatic, with gradual improvement developing over weeks to months as collagen remodels. Multiple sessions and maintenance treatments are often needed to achieve and sustain optimal results. For surgical treatments, changes are more immediate and dramatic, though final results are best assessed after complete healing at several months post-surgery. It is important to understand that vaginal rejuvenation does not promise to resolve all intimate or relationship concerns, and benefits can be subjective, particularly regarding sexual satisfaction. Due to the private nature of this treatment, before and after photos are not typically available or appropriate. Your practitioner should provide realistic expectations through detailed consultation, discussion of typical outcomes and possibly patient testimonials. Most women who are appropriate candidates with realistic expectations report satisfaction with their results, citing improved comfort, function and confidence. However, it is crucial to have treatment performed by qualified specialists, follow all pre- and post-treatment instructions, maintain realistic expectations about outcomes, and understand that results from non-surgical treatments may require maintenance. For women struggling with functional concerns like incontinence or vaginal atrophy, vaginal rejuvenation can provide meaningful quality of life improvements that extend beyond cosmetic considerations.
