Why Choose Safer Aesthetics Training Scotland in Scotland?
Safer Aesthetics Training Scotland is led by Clinical Directors Julia Ogilvie and Ashley McGurnaghan, experienced nurse clinicians with long NHS backgrounds and specialist aesthetic training. Julia qualified as a nurse in 1979, moved into medical aesthetics in 2010 and has worked as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner; Ashley is a registered nurse prescriber and advanced nurse practitioner with extensive nursing experience. Both are accredited trainers who emphasise advanced anatomy knowledge and evidence-based injectable practice, and the team has established industry partnerships that support high clinical standards.
The academy delivers a full pathway of practical courses — from foundation anti-wrinkle and facial filler training (including lips and peri-oral techniques and cannula-based skin boosters) to advanced toxin and dermal filler modules, NAD+ therapy training, refresher days and a V300 mentorship programme. Training is delivered in small groups or one-to-one, with hands-on practice, complication-management focus, repeat-day support and ongoing closed-group peer mentoring to reinforce safe, competent clinical skills.
Operating across Scotland, Safer Aesthetics Training Scotland focuses on building safe, business-ready practitioners. The team prioritises practical competency, patient safety and outcome-driven techniques, supporting delegates to integrate anatomy-led, evidence-based aesthetic services into their practice with confidence and professional rigour.
