It was my first time at NuSeoul, and I had the most comfortable and professional experience. If you're an Asian woman like me, I'm sure you also appreciate a detailed break, so here we go.
Here are some key features that are unique to NuSeoul that gives me confidence over other clinics:
1. First and foremost, every practitioner at NuSeoul is a licensed medical doctor. They have a deep understanding of the anatomy beyond aesthetics. They know how to keep the patient safe and have so much knowledge and experience to draw from. I recently found out that many clinics have practitioners who are not licensed medical professionals. Personally, this is just scary to me and an immediate dealbreaker.
2. The NuSeoul doctors are Asian and have experience with Asian aesthetics. I'm sure there are many good practitioners in London, but the reality is, different demographics have different facial features. Inevitably, if you're more familiar with those facial features, you'll understand the concerns and subtle preferences at a much deeper level.
3. NuSeoul uses high quality products. There is a huge range of products on the market - some so cheap that it makes me wonder what kind of corners they are cutting. NuSeoul only uses tried and true, trusted, and quality products.
4. NuSeoul treatment plans are low risk and has the best interest of the patient in mind. They focus on excellent technique and making the most in the least invasive way. They are not there to push treatments, products, or speed up the process.
Me:
I'm a 33-year-old Korean-American woman who has never had any aesthetic procedures done.
My treatment:
1. Polynucleotides for the under eyes
2. Rejuran HB facial skin booster
My step-by-step experience:
1. I was greeted by Natasha who is professional, personable, and knowledgable. I asked her loads of questions regarding the treatments, the pain level, the duration of efficacy, what are the most common entry level procedures, what are some other products and procedures on the market and her opinion about the efficacy and safety and more. Her passion and respect for the aesthetics field is clear as she is up-to-date in many different areas of the field. She clearly has a client first mindset where our comfort and our trust is everything.
2. I had a consultation with Dr. Jenny about what I would like to enhance. My primary concerns were my dark circles under my eyes and the texture of my facial skin and acne prone areas. She gave me her professional opinion about the current state of my face and skin and details of each treatment. I was also interested in masseter/jawline Botox, so she walked me through what exactly is producing the results, how much is appropriate, when I would start to see the results, etc. That definitely gave me a great deal of comfort. In the end, I decided not to do this treatment, but I really appreciated her understanding of the importance of feeling ready. The education was key, and I am considering it for the future.
3. The procedure itself was smooth. I had numbing cream and local anesthetics. She started with the under eyes. There is only a single entry point, which is great for having minimal surface wounds. Thereafter, I did the facial skin booster. After the numbing, it only took 15-20 mins. There are some pinching sensations, but they are momentary and the numbing agents were very effective.
4. Immediately after, there was the expected swelling, 2 small bruises at the entry point for under eyes, and some marks from the other entry points, but the swelling went down significantly in a couple hours. Based on what I've seen on social media, I expected a lot worse, both in terms of bruising and swelling, but it was way more low key.
Ambiance:
I really liked the bright, clean, and cozy clinic. It definitely helped me feel relaxed going in.
I'm confident that NuSeoul will be the top-tier Asian aesthetics clinic in London and it's going to get increasingly difficult to get appointments.
The photo is from just under 5 hours after the treatment. I'll provide after photos later :)
