I had a deeply disappointing experience with the Rita Rakus Clinic. I was originally quoted a price for three sessions of Advatx laser treatment. This quote was clearly documented in writing and reflected the limited area I was treating (a small area on my cheek). I paid in full for the three sessions at the end of the first session A few hours before the second session, I was suddenly told the quoted price was actually per session—a fourfold increase—despite having clear email correspondence confirming the original agreement. I reiterated the limited scope of treatment and was then verbally reassured at the start of my second appointment that the previously agreed price would still apply. Yet at the end of the session, I was pressured into paying again the new price in a public setting, leaving me with no opportunity to properly challenge it. I followed up multiple times by email over several weeks requesting a refund. I received a single voicemail and a delayed email response saying the matter would be "escalated," but nothing further was done. For a clinic presenting itself as professional and medically led, this was an appalling way to treat a patient—no accountability, no follow-up, and no respect for basic consumer rights. I regret trusting this clinic and would strongly caution others against doing so.

I am awaiting full results from Sofwave, and will review further on completion. But in the meantime, I cannot recommend lovely Rita and her staff highly enough. I have been welcomed by everyone, and Dr Rita has shown great patience in ensuring that I get the results I want. The experience has been entirely painless and I have felt very supported. It’s five stars from me.
