I recently visited Dr Emma in Cheshire for SuneKOS treatment to my under-eye area, and I am absolutely delighted with the whole experience. Her professionalism and warmth immediately gave me confidence that I was in the best hands. The treatment itself was comfortable and far less daunting than I expected. Dr Emma was extremely gentle and attentive throughout, which made the process feel calm and reassuring. I would recommend her to anyone considering aesthetic treatments in Manchester and the surrounding areas.

I went to Anna for Sunekos because her experience as a dental hygienist gave me confidence that she would be professional and skilful with the treatment. It was also good to be treated in the dental practice with the good facilities. Anna has a lovely manner and the treatment has really improved my skin which was very tired and lined making me feel depressed about my appearance. I feel a lot better now that my lines are reduced and my face looks more smooth and the skin more 'plumped out' and less tired looking. Friends have said I am looking well!

I recently had three sunekos skin booster treatments with Dr Yiannis and I’m impressed with the results. Dr Yannis is incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything clearly from how the treatment works to what I could expect during and after the session. I felt completely comfortable and in safe hands throughout. I am so happy with Sunekos as it works naturally and my skin definitely feels smoother and plumper.

I had Jalupro injections in my face today. 13 injections in my face and hardly any stinging. Much better than any skin boosters I've had. I can't wait to see the results. So happy I did the special offer on this. As usual Caroline was amazing. I go in with so many questions and she is always happy to answer them. Her knowledge is outstanding. I always feel safe with her and know I will have amazing results. I also bought some more Heliocare sunscreen. Great product. I don't need to wear foundation anymore with the tinted one. Thank you Caroline 😍

My second visit to ABL, following my first appointment for lip fillers, marked the beginning of my skin booster journey—and once again, Laura was exceptional. She took the time to explain in even greater detail how skin boosters would benefit my skin, discussed my current skincare routine, and planned the timing of my second booster. After expertly carrying out the treatment, Laura took a moment to check my lip fillers and reiterated the aftercare instructions for my skin boosters. Her professionalism, efficiency, and reassuring manner have made me a loyal client. If you’re looking for expert care and someone who truly puts you at ease during your appointments, I can’t recommend ABL enough.

Dr Adloo has been my dentist for several years now and he's absolutely the best! Last year I decided to try Invisalign followed by 10 crowns and the care and treatment was exceptional! I'm so happy with my new smile! Last year I also decided to try a few facial treatments with Beta and the skin boosters and Botox are a game changer! Beta treats me with such care and always has my welfare at heart. Nishat is an amazing addition to the team and last, but definitely not least is Jessica. Jessica is an absolute joy to deal with; kind, professional and incredibly knowledgeable and efficient! I cant recommend this lovely team highly enough!

Super Happy with the service at Gemini Aesthetics. Ruth is always extremely professional, explaining every part of the procedure as well as able to advise on recommended treatments (as well as advising when not to have unnecessary treatments). Only been to Ruth on a few occasions but wouldn't go anywhere else. The right practitioner is ultra important given the treatments are very often on your face and hygiene is also a key factor - another reason for my move to Ruth (if they don't have a sink in their treatment room then that's a concern!!!). Thanks Ruth for the amazing service.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’ve had a few treatments at Gemini Aesthetics with Ruth and she’s absolutely lovely! So professional, friendly and really knows her stuff. I recently had Skinvive and I’m over the moon with the results — my skin looks fresher and more hydrated than ever. The aftercare has been amazing. Ruth is always happy to answer questions or give advice. I wouldn’t go anywhere else! Writing on behalf of someone who doesn't have a Google Account but wanted to leave a worthy review!

FAQs

Sunekos 200 is an injectable skin regeneration treatment containing a patented formula of amino acids and low molecular weight hyaluronic acid designed to stimulate the natural production of collagen and elastin in the skin. The '200' refers to the concentration of hyaluronic acid (200mg), with this formula specifically designed for facial treatments and delicate areas. The Sunekos 200 formula contains six specific amino acids including glycine, L-proline, L-leucine, L-lysine, L-alanine and L-valine, which are the building blocks needed for collagen and elastin synthesis; plus hyaluronic acid at 200mg concentration providing the optimal environment for extracellular matrix regeneration. The treatment works through a patented mechanism where the specific combination and ratio of amino acids signals fibroblasts to produce new collagen and elastin; the hyaluronic acid creates the ideal conditions for this regeneration; and the result is genuine skin remodelling rather than temporary filling or hydration. Sunekos 200 can treat fine lines and wrinkles; loss of skin elasticity and firmness; dull, tired-looking skin; under-eye hollows and dark circles; neck and décolletage ageing; and overall skin quality decline. The treatment differs from fillers by not adding volume but stimulating the skin's own regenerative processes; it differs from pure hyaluronic acid skin boosters by including amino acids that actively trigger collagen and elastin production; and it provides structural skin improvement rather than just hydration.

Costs for Sunekos 200 vary between clinics and depend on factors such as the specific product used, whether you need a single session or a course of treatments, the treatment area and goals, and the practitioner's experience. The price of Sunekos 200 typically ranges from around £200 to £600 across the UK. If you’re comparing how much Sunekos 200 costs or checking the price of Sunekos 200, remember that the number of vials and any follow-up appointments will affect the total cost. You can find the exact, up-to-date price for this treatment in the catalogue

Sunekos 200 is injected into various facial areas and delicate zones where skin regeneration and rejuvenation are desired. The treatment uses a mesotherapy technique with multiple small injections distributed across the treatment area. Common injection sites for Sunekos 200 include the full face for overall skin rejuvenation, fine lines and improved elasticity; the periorbital area (around the eyes) for dark circles, fine lines and crepey skin, which is one of Sunekos 200's particular strengths due to its suitability for this delicate area; the forehead for fine lines and improved skin quality; the cheeks for enhanced skin tone and elasticity; the perioral area (around the mouth) for smoker's lines and skin quality; the neck for crepey skin, horizontal lines and improved firmness; the décolletage for sun damage, crepiness and skin rejuvenation; and the hands for ageing skin and improved quality. The injection technique involves multiple superficial injections using fine needles; the product is placed into the dermis; injections are distributed evenly across the treatment area; and the technique may vary based on practitioner preference and specific concerns. Sunekos 200 is particularly valued for under-eye treatment because it is gentle enough for this delicate area; it addresses dark circles, fine lines and hollowing; and it provides regeneration without the risks associated with volumising fillers near the eyes. Your practitioner will determine the appropriate injection sites based on your specific concerns, skin condition and treatment goals during your consultation.

Sunekos is a range of injectable skin regeneration treatments developed by Professional Derma, an Italian pharmaceutical company, designed to stimulate the natural production of collagen and elastin in the skin through a patented formula of amino acids and hyaluronic acid. The name combines 'sun' (representing vitality) and 'ekos' (from the Greek for home, referring to the skin's environment). The Sunekos range includes Sunekos 200, the original formula with 200mg hyaluronic acid designed for facial treatments and delicate areas like under-eyes; and Sunekos 1200, a higher concentration formula with 1200mg hyaluronic acid designed for body treatments, deeper facial concerns and areas requiring more intensive treatment. The Sunekos technology is based on a patented combination of six amino acids (glycine, L-proline, L-leucine, L-lysine, L-alanine, L-valine) in specific ratios that signal fibroblasts to produce collagen and elastin; combined with hyaluronic acid that creates the optimal extracellular matrix environment for regeneration. This differs from other treatments because fillers add volume but do not regenerate skin; pure hyaluronic acid skin boosters hydrate but do not stimulate collagen and elastin production to the same degree; and Sunekos specifically triggers the skin's own regenerative processes. Sunekos can address fine lines and wrinkles; skin laxity and loss of firmness; dark circles and under-eye concerns; overall skin quality and elasticity; and signs of ageing across face and body.

Sunekos is not FDA approved for use in the United States. The product is CE marked for use in Europe, where it has been available and widely used since its development by Professional Derma in Italy. Understanding the regulatory status helps set appropriate expectations. The regulatory status of Sunekos shows that it holds CE marking, which is the European conformity marking indicating the product meets EU safety, health and environmental requirements; it is approved and available throughout Europe, including the UK; it is used in many countries worldwide outside the US; and it has not undergone the FDA approval process required for US market entry. Why FDA approval matters relates to the FDA (US Food and Drug Administration) having its own rigorous approval process; products without FDA approval cannot be legally marketed in the US; CE marking and FDA approval are separate regulatory pathways; and many effective, safe products available in Europe are not FDA approved simply because manufacturers have not pursued US market entry. For UK and European patients, CE marking provides appropriate regulatory oversight; Sunekos has been used safely in Europe for years; clinical evidence supports its efficacy; and it is legally available through qualified practitioners. The lack of FDA approval does not indicate safety concerns but rather reflects regulatory pathway decisions; many excellent products are available in some markets but not others; and UK patients can access Sunekos through licensed practitioners with confidence in its regulatory status for their market.

No, Sunekos is not a dermal filler. It is classified as a skin booster or biostimulator that works through a fundamentally different mechanism than volumising fillers. Understanding this distinction is important for setting appropriate expectations. How Sunekos differs from fillers involves its purpose, as fillers add volume to specific areas and fill lines, while Sunekos stimulates the skin's own regenerative processes; its mechanism, where fillers physically occupy space to create volume, while Sunekos triggers fibroblasts to produce collagen and elastin; its results, with fillers providing immediate volumising effects, while Sunekos provides gradual skin quality improvement over weeks; and its placement, as fillers are placed at specific depths for structural effect, while Sunekos is distributed across treatment areas using mesotherapy technique. What Sunekos does instead of filling is stimulate natural collagen and elastin production; regenerate and remodel the extracellular matrix; improve skin quality, elasticity and firmness; and provide gradual, natural-looking rejuvenation. Sunekos is better categorised alongside other skin regeneration treatments like Profhilo, which also improves skin quality rather than adding volume; polynucleotides, which stimulate tissue regeneration; and skin boosters that work on skin quality rather than structure. When to choose Sunekos over filler is when you want improved skin quality rather than volume; for delicate areas like under-eyes where volumising fillers carry more risk; for overall skin rejuvenation and elasticity; and when seeking natural, gradual improvement. If you need volume restoration in areas like cheeks, lips or jawline, traditional dermal fillers are more appropriate than Sunekos.

Sunekos treatment is a course of injectable sessions designed to regenerate and rejuvenate the skin by stimulating natural collagen and elastin production. The treatment involves multiple sessions using the patented Sunekos formula of amino acids and hyaluronic acid to achieve progressive skin improvement. The treatment protocol typically consists of an initial course of 4 sessions spaced 7 to 10 days apart; this frequency allows optimal stimulation of fibroblasts; the condensed treatment schedule provides cumulative signalling for regeneration; and maintenance treatments are recommended every 4 to 6 months. During each treatment session, the skin is cleansed and may be numbed with topical anaesthetic; Sunekos is injected using mesotherapy technique with multiple small injections; the product is distributed across the treatment area; and sessions typically take 20 to 30 minutes. The treatment works by delivering amino acids that signal fibroblasts to produce new collagen and elastin; providing hyaluronic acid that creates optimal conditions for extracellular matrix regeneration; and stimulating genuine skin remodelling over time. Sunekos treatment can address the full face for overall rejuvenation; the under-eye area for dark circles and fine lines; the neck and décolletage for crepey, ageing skin; the hands for skin quality improvement; and specific areas of concern with fine lines or laxity. Results from Sunekos treatment develop gradually over 2 to 4 weeks following each session; cumulative improvement builds through the treatment course; optimal results are visible 4 to 6 weeks after completing the course; and effects typically last 6 to 9 months before maintenance is needed.

Yes, Sunekos works effectively for improving skin quality, with clinical evidence and patient outcomes supporting its ability to stimulate collagen and elastin production and deliver visible skin rejuvenation. However, understanding what it does and does not do helps set realistic expectations. The scientific basis for Sunekos working includes the patented amino acid formula being specifically designed to signal fibroblast activity; clinical studies demonstrating increased collagen and elastin synthesis; measurable improvements in skin elasticity and hydration; and the biological mechanisms being well-understood. Clinical evidence supporting effectiveness shows studies demonstrating increased production of collagen types I, III and IV; improved elastin synthesis in treated skin; enhanced extracellular matrix quality; and patient satisfaction data showing visible improvements. What Sunekos works for includes fine lines and skin texture improvement; skin elasticity and firmness enhancement; under-eye dark circles and fine lines; overall skin quality and radiance; and mild to moderate skin laxity. Realistic expectations are important because Sunekos works gradually over weeks, not immediately; results are subtle improvement rather than dramatic transformation; it does not provide volumising effects like fillers; severe laxity or deep wrinkles may need additional treatments; and individual results vary based on age, skin condition and lifestyle. Factors affecting how well Sunekos works for you include completing the full recommended treatment course; your baseline skin condition and regenerative capacity; age and natural collagen production; lifestyle factors like sun exposure and smoking; and adherence to maintenance treatments. Most people who complete the full treatment protocol experience noticeable improvement in skin quality that they and others can see.

Sunekos results typically last 6 to 9 months after completing the initial treatment course, though duration varies between individuals based on factors including age, lifestyle and skin condition. The collagen and elastin stimulated by Sunekos represent real tissue improvement that persists until natural ageing processes gradually diminish the effects. The timeline of Sunekos results shows improvement developing progressively during the treatment course over 4 weeks; optimal results visible 4 to 6 weeks after completing all sessions; results maintained well for approximately 6 months; and gradual decline between 6 to 9 months as natural ageing continues. Factors affecting how long Sunekos lasts include your age and natural collagen production rate; lifestyle factors such as sun exposure, smoking and diet; skin condition and baseline quality; overall health and metabolism; and whether maintenance treatments are performed. To maximise longevity of Sunekos results, protect skin with daily SPF 50+ sunscreen; maintain quality skincare routine; avoid smoking, which accelerates collagen breakdown; stay hydrated and eat a balanced diet; and schedule maintenance treatments before results fully fade. Maintenance treatment recommendations typically suggest treatments every 4 to 6 months to sustain optimal results; some people prefer twice-yearly top-ups; maintenance may require fewer sessions than the initial course; and ongoing treatment provides cumulative benefits. The new collagen and elastin produced through Sunekos is genuine tissue that becomes part of your skin structure. While it gradually diminishes as natural ageing continues, the improvement achieved represents real regeneration rather than temporary effects, distinguishing it from treatments that simply hydrate or fill temporarily.

Sunekos takes 2 to 6 weeks to show visible results, with improvement developing gradually as the treatment stimulates your skin's natural collagen and elastin production. Unlike fillers that show immediate effects, Sunekos works through biological regeneration that requires time. The timeline for Sunekos results during the treatment course shows that after the first session at week 1, the regeneration process begins at a cellular level but visible changes are minimal; after sessions 2 to 3 at weeks 2 to 3, early signs of improvement may appear including better hydration and subtle glow; after session 4 at week 4, noticeable improvement in skin quality and texture becomes apparent; and at weeks 4 to 6 post-treatment, optimal results develop as collagen and elastin production peaks. What to expect at different stages shows that during weeks 1 to 2, cellular regeneration begins but is not yet visible; during weeks 2 to 4, subtle improvements in hydration, texture and radiance appear; during weeks 4 to 8, significant improvement in skin elasticity, fine lines and firmness develops; and during weeks 8 to 12, full results become apparent with optimal skin quality. Why Sunekos takes time relates to the treatment stimulating your own cells to produce collagen and elastin; this biological process cannot be rushed; new structural proteins take weeks to synthesise and integrate; and gradual improvement ensures natural-looking results. Factors affecting how quickly you see results include your age and cellular regenerative capacity; baseline skin condition; how closely sessions are spaced; overall health and nutrition; and individual variation in collagen production. The gradual onset of Sunekos results means improvement appears natural and not obviously 'done', with many people noticing their skin simply looks healthier and more youthful without a sudden change.

No, Sunekos is not a polynucleotide. Sunekos and polynucleotides are different types of skin regeneration treatments with distinct compositions and mechanisms, though both aim to improve skin quality through biostimulation. What Sunekos contains is a patented formula of six amino acids (glycine, L-proline, L-leucine, L-lysine, L-alanine, L-valine) plus hyaluronic acid; it works by providing the building blocks for collagen and elastin synthesis; and the amino acids signal fibroblasts to produce new structural proteins. What polynucleotides contain is DNA fragments, typically derived from salmon or trout; they work through biostimulation, triggering cellular regeneration and repair; they activate fibroblasts and promote tissue healing; and examples include Nucleofill, Plinest, Ameela and Pluryal Silk. Key differences between Sunekos and polynucleotides relate to composition, with Sunekos being amino acids plus hyaluronic acid while polynucleotides are DNA fragments; source, with Sunekos being synthetic amino acids while polynucleotides are derived from fish DNA; mechanism, where both stimulate regeneration but through different pathways; and specific benefits, with Sunekos focusing on collagen and elastin while polynucleotides offer broader tissue regeneration and anti-inflammatory effects. Both treatments can be appropriate depending on your concerns because Sunekos may be preferred for collagen and elastin stimulation and overall skin quality; polynucleotides may be preferred for tissue regeneration, under-eye concerns and anti-inflammatory benefits; and some practitioners combine both for comprehensive rejuvenation. If you are deciding between these treatments, consultation with an experienced practitioner can help determine which is most appropriate for your specific skin concerns and goals.

Neither Sunekos nor Profhilo is definitively better than the other; they are different treatments with distinct mechanisms and may be more appropriate for different concerns and patients. Comparing them helps determine which might be better for your specific needs. Sunekos characteristics include containing amino acids plus hyaluronic acid; working primarily by stimulating collagen and elastin production; being particularly effective for fine lines and elasticity; being well-suited for delicate areas like under-eyes; requiring 4 sessions over 4 weeks; and producing results through new collagen and elastin synthesis. Profhilo characteristics include containing pure hyaluronic acid with unique hybrid cooperative complexes; working through bio-remodelling and intense hydration; being particularly effective for skin laxity and hydration; using the BAP technique with only 5 injection points per side; requiring 2 sessions 4 weeks apart; and producing results through hydration plus collagen stimulation. Sunekos may be better for fine lines and elasticity concerns; under-eye treatment where it has particular strength; those wanting amino acid-based stimulation; and skin needing collagen and elastin regeneration specifically. Profhilo may be better for skin laxity and sagging; intense hydration needs; those preferring fewer injection points; convenience with only 2 treatment sessions; and skin needing overall bio-remodelling. Factors to consider when choosing include your primary skin concerns; treatment area, particularly under-eyes favouring Sunekos; preference for treatment protocol; practitioner recommendation based on assessment; and budget and time considerations. Many practitioners offer both and can recommend the most appropriate option based on your individual assessment. Some people benefit from using both treatments at different times or for different areas, and they can complement each other well as part of a comprehensive skin health programme.

Before Sunekos 200 treatment, people typically have fine lines and early wrinkles affecting skin appearance; loss of skin elasticity and firmness; dull, tired-looking skin lacking radiance; dark circles and crepiness under the eyes; skin quality concerns on face, neck or décolletage; and overall aged or fatigued skin appearance. These concerns often develop gradually with ageing as collagen and elastin production naturally declines, leaving skin less resilient and youthful-looking. After Sunekos 200 treatment, following completion of the recommended 4-session course and allowing 4 to 6 weeks for full collagen and elastin synthesis to complete, most people experience noticeable improvements. Common results include improved skin texture and smoothness; visibly reduced fine lines; enhanced skin elasticity and firmness; brighter, more radiant complexion; improved under-eye appearance with reduced dark circles and crepiness; more hydrated, healthier-looking skin; and overall more youthful skin quality. The degree of improvement depends on your baseline skin condition and severity of concerns; your age and natural regenerative capacity; completion of the full treatment course; lifestyle factors affecting skin health; and individual response to treatment. During the treatment process, changes develop gradually with week 1 to 2 showing minimal visible change as cellular regeneration begins; weeks 2 to 4 revealing early improvement in hydration and texture; weeks 4 to 6 demonstrating noticeable enhancement in skin quality and elasticity; and weeks 6 to 8 showing optimal results with full collagen and elastin production. Before and after expectations should be realistic: Sunekos 200 provides gradual, natural-looking improvement; results are skin quality enhancement rather than dramatic transformation; the treatment does not provide volumising effects; and maintenance treatments are needed to sustain results. Most satisfied Sunekos 200 patients appreciate the natural, progressive improvement; notice meaningful enhancement in skin quality and elasticity; value its suitability for delicate areas like under-eyes; and find it an effective component of their skin health maintenance.
