Amber is an amazing beautician with a lot of knowledge on the procedures she carries out. I've had 2 hydrofacials now and have noticed a difference in my skin after the first one. She also recommended some budget friendly products that I can use to help my skin.

I've been attending the Aesthetic Treatment rooms for a while now and have no intention of trusting anyone else with my Aesthetic treatments. The thing I have appreciated the most is the time and patience both Helen and Rachel taken to answer any questions I have before any procedure, and their quick responses and availability for any questions afterwards. I have had a number of different treatments and have been thoroughly pleased with all the results. The treatments have all massively improved my confidence and are the best decisions I've ever made! I would recommend them both 💯 percent and assure you that you are in very safe hands.

I had VASER liposuction on my "love handles" 6 weeks ago at the centre and I must say that the clinic was fantastic from the get go...

I enquired about the surgery on the website and they got straight back in touch with me and booked me in for a free consultation with Dr Dutta.

During my consultation Dr Dutta went through everything I was to expect during and after the surgery. I left feeling confident and well informed and knew I had finally found the place that I wanted to go ahead with the surgery.

The day of my surgery came and I wasn't anxious at all, the staff at the Newcastle clinic were fantastic and my surgery was over before I knew it. The aftercare started immediately after surgery with some tea and toast and me not leaving until the Staff and Dr Dutta felt comfortable that I was OK. The aftercare advice was given by Dr Dutta and his wife Wendy (Lead Nurse) which added that personal touch to my treatment. I was given both their direct contact numbers and had to ring Dr Dutta that evening to check in with him to make sure everything was alright.

I have since had several check up appointments at the Sunderland clinic where the service has remained 5 star by all the staff I have encountered.

I could not be happier with not only the service I have received at the aesthetic beauty centre, but the results, which speak for themselves. It's more than I could have hoped for. Only my close friends and family know about my surgery and they have all marvelled at the results!

If you're looking for a 5 star surgeon and 5 star service with that extra personal touch then this centre is your ideal destination. I will not go anywhere else if I decide to undergoe any additional surgery. A few friends have even asked for the surgery details as they are considering it themselves.

FAQs

Skin boosters are injectable treatments designed to improve overall skin quality, hydration and radiance from within. They typically contain hyaluronic acid, sometimes combined with vitamins, minerals, amino acids or other beneficial ingredients, which are injected into the skin using fine needles or cannulas. Unlike dermal fillers that add volume or change facial structure, skin boosters work by deeply hydrating the skin, stimulating collagen production and improving elasticity. The hyaluronic acid in skin boosters spreads evenly through the skin tissue rather than staying in one place, providing widespread hydration and a natural glow. Skin boosters are commonly used on the face, but can also treat the neck, décolletage, hands and other areas showing signs of ageing or dehydration. Popular brands include Profhilo, Seventy Hyal, Sunekos and Juvederm Volite. The treatment is particularly suitable for people noticing early signs of ageing, dullness, fine lines, crepey texture or dehydration who want to improve skin quality without adding volume or changing their features.

In Durham, the price of Skin Boosters typically ranges from around £300 to £550, though prices vary between clinics. The cost of Skin Boosters overall in Durham will depend on the specific product chosen and whether you book a single session or a course of treatments. How much Skin Boosters costs in Durham is also influenced by the practitioner’s experience, the treatment area and your desired results, which can affect the number of vials used. When comparing the price of Skin Boosters, check what is included in the consultation and any aftercare. You can find the exact, up-to-date price for this treatment in the catalogue

Skin boosters typically last between 4 to 9 months, with most people experiencing results for around 6 months, though this varies depending on several factors. The specific product used, the treatment area, your age, skin condition, lifestyle, metabolism and skincare routine all influence longevity. Some advanced formulations like Profhilo may last slightly longer than standard hyaluronic acid skin boosters. Because skin boosters work by stimulating your body's own collagen and elastin production as well as providing hydration, some of the rejuvenating effects can persist even after the hyaluronic acid has broken down. Most practitioners recommend an initial course of 2 to 3 treatment sessions spaced 2 to 4 weeks apart, followed by maintenance treatments every 4 to 6 months to keep results topped up. People who maintain good skincare routines, protect their skin from sun damage, stay well-hydrated and avoid smoking often find their results last longer. Regular maintenance sessions can help sustain the cumulative benefits of improved collagen production and skin quality over time.

Skin boosters work gradually, with results developing over several weeks rather than appearing instantly. Many people notice improved skin hydration and a subtle glow within the first few days to a week after treatment, as the hyaluronic acid immediately attracts moisture to the skin. However, the more significant benefits, such as improved skin firmness, texture, elasticity and reduction in fine lines, typically become visible 2 to 4 weeks after the initial treatment, with optimal results appearing after completing the full course of sessions. This is because skin boosters stimulate collagen and elastin production, which takes time to develop. The full rejuvenating effect continues to improve for up to 8 weeks after your final treatment session as the skin's natural regeneration processes are activated. The timeline can vary between individuals depending on factors like age, skin condition, the specific product used and your body's natural healing response. Because results are gradual and cumulative, it is important to be patient and complete the recommended treatment course before judging the final outcome.

Skin boosters work on multiple levels to improve overall skin quality. The primary function is deep hydration: the hyaluronic acid in skin boosters attracts and holds moisture within the skin, providing intense, long-lasting hydration that topical products cannot achieve. This plumping effect helps smooth out fine lines and improve skin texture. Beyond hydration, skin boosters stimulate the production of collagen and elastin, the proteins responsible for skin firmness, elasticity and structure, which naturally decline with age. This leads to gradual improvement in skin tone, elasticity and resilience. Skin boosters also improve skin texture, reducing the appearance of enlarged pores, rough patches and uneven tone, while enhancing overall radiance and glow. The treatment can address concerns such as dullness, dehydration, crepey texture, fine lines and early skin laxity without changing your facial features or adding volume. The result is healthier, fresher, more youthful-looking skin that appears rejuvenated from within. Skin boosters essentially create an optimal environment for skin health, supporting natural repair and maintenance processes.

Skin boosters have demonstrated effective results for many people when administered correctly by qualified practitioners. Clinical evidence and patient experiences show noticeable improvements in skin hydration, texture, firmness and overall quality. The treatment is particularly effective for people with dehydrated, dull or tired-looking skin, fine lines, crepey texture or early signs of ageing who want natural-looking rejuvenation. Because skin boosters work by deeply hydrating the skin and stimulating collagen production, they address fundamental aspects of skin health rather than masking concerns superficially. However, effectiveness varies between individuals depending on factors such as age, existing skin condition, lifestyle, the specific product used and realistic expectations. Skin boosters work best for improving overall skin quality rather than addressing specific structural concerns like deep wrinkles, significant volume loss or severe sagging, where other treatments may be more suitable. People who maintain good skincare routines, protect their skin from sun damage and follow healthy lifestyle habits tend to see better and longer-lasting results. A thorough consultation with an experienced practitioner can help determine if skin boosters are appropriate for your specific concerns and goals.

Skin boosters are generally considered safe when administered by properly trained, qualified and experienced practitioners using approved products in a clinical setting. The main ingredient, hyaluronic acid, is a substance naturally found in the body, which means the risk of allergic reactions is very low. Skin boosters have been used in aesthetic medicine for many years with a good safety profile. However, as with any injectable treatment, there are potential side effects and risks. Common temporary reactions include redness, swelling, bruising, tenderness and small bumps at the injection sites, which typically resolve within a few days. Some people may experience mild lumpiness or unevenness that usually settles as the product integrates. Rare but more serious complications can include infection, prolonged swelling, allergic reactions, vascular occlusion (blocked blood vessels), skin discolouration or tissue damage if injected incorrectly. The safety and quality of products vary, so it is crucial to ensure your practitioner uses genuine, reputable brands from authorised suppliers. Always choose a qualified medical professional who conducts thorough consultations, follows proper hygiene protocols and provides comprehensive aftercare. Disclose your full medical history, any allergies, medications or health conditions, and avoid treatment if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or have active skin infections or certain medical conditions.

Whether skin boosters are worth it depends on your specific skin concerns, expectations, budget and what you hope to achieve. For many people, skin boosters provide excellent value, particularly if you are noticing early signs of ageing, dehydration, dullness or loss of radiance and want a natural, preventative approach to skincare. The treatment offers noticeable improvements in skin quality, hydration and glow without changing your features or requiring significant downtime, making it appealing for those seeking subtle enhancement. Skin boosters can be more cost-effective than frequent facials or expensive skincare products, as results last several months and address multiple concerns simultaneously. However, they are not worth it if you are expecting dramatic lifting, significant volume replacement or correction of deep wrinkles, where other treatments like fillers or procedures like Morpheus8 would be more appropriate. The treatment requires an initial investment for a course of sessions plus ongoing maintenance, which may not suit everyone's budget. A consultation with a qualified practitioner is essential to assess whether skin boosters align with your goals, skin condition and financial considerations. Many people find the natural-looking, cumulative improvements in skin health make skin boosters a worthwhile investment in their overall aesthetic and skincare routine.

Before skin booster treatment, people commonly experience dull, dehydrated or tired-looking skin, fine lines and crepey texture, loss of elasticity and firmness, uneven skin tone or texture, enlarged pores or early signs of ageing, particularly on the face, neck, décolletage or hands. After completing a course of skin booster treatments, typically 2 to 3 sessions over 4 to 8 weeks, the skin generally appears more hydrated, plump and radiant, with a noticeable healthy glow. Fine lines often look softer, skin texture becomes smoother and more even, and overall skin quality and elasticity improve. The complexion typically looks fresher, more youthful and healthier, with better light reflection and a natural luminosity. Results are subtle and natural-looking rather than dramatically altered, with the aim of enhanced skin quality rather than changed features. The degree of improvement varies depending on starting skin condition, age, lifestyle and individual response to treatment. Immediately after each session, the treated area will show small injection marks, redness and possibly swelling or lumps, which typically settle within 24 to 48 hours. Final results should be assessed 4 to 8 weeks after completing the full course, once all swelling has resolved and collagen stimulation has occurred. Your practitioner should provide realistic before and after photos from their own work to help set appropriate expectations based on your specific skin type, concerns and treatment goals.
