I have been coming to the Stockbridge clinic for around a year and I’m so happy with my progress. Having dull, acne prone skin Shannon has always gave the best advice as well as product recommendations for my at home routine. On my last visit I had a Glow facial and my skin is quite literally glowing .. someone who has always had dull skin it is giving that glass skin affect and I couldn’t be happier. Also the cosy environment with the heated bed really tops it off for me !

From the moment I walked into dr jack I felt completely relaxed. Every step of the facial was precise and relaxing. What stood out most to me was how attentive the therapist was. My skin felt great so looking forward to my next facial.

Dr David Jack Review I had just returned from holiday and my skin was feeling hot, tight and somewhat mature and I took up Dr David’s recommendation of a Bespoke Facial from the Signature Range. I had a fabulous hour at the Edinburgh clinic with Cat who took me through the various aspects of the treatment and how they would benefit my dry skin and I left feeling that my face had just had a holiday of its own - it felt soft and smooth and my complexion was shining. My visit to the Edinburgh clinic was amazing, and Cat remembering from an earlier consultation that I have a hearing disability, ensured that I was completely comfortable and understood what was happening during the treatment.

The microbiome facial is amazing, ive only had one session and already see the benefits the next day. All my breakouts which were quite nasty have totally dried up and almost vanished overnight. Catriona is the best at what she does; a true skincare queen! Can’t wait for my next treatment. My skin was also so glowing after the treatment; want to bottle that glow!

FAQs

Oxygen facial treatments work effectively for providing immediate hydration, radiance and a refreshed appearance, though the benefits are primarily cosmetic and temporary rather than providing deep structural skin changes. The treatment delivers real, visible improvement that most people can see and appreciate. What oxygen facials effectively do includes delivering immediate hydration and plumping to the skin; infusing active ingredients like vitamins, antioxidants and hyaluronic acid; creating an instant glow and radiance; temporarily improving skin texture and smoothness; providing a refreshed, rejuvenated appearance; and preparing skin beautifully for special events. The science behind oxygen facials involves pressurised oxygen helping active ingredients penetrate the skin; increased oxygen at the skin surface potentially boosting cellular metabolism temporarily; hydrating serums providing immediate plumping effects; and the overall treatment creating optimal conditions for skin refreshment. What oxygen facials may not do includes providing long-lasting structural changes; significantly treating deep wrinkles or scarring; replacing more intensive clinical treatments; or providing permanent improvement without regular sessions. Realistic expectations are important because oxygen facials excel at immediate beautification and hydration; results are temporary, typically lasting days to a week; they are maintenance treatments rather than corrective procedures; and cumulative benefits may develop with regular treatment. For most people seeking a gentle, relaxing treatment that provides immediate visible improvement in skin radiance and hydration, oxygen facials work well and deliver on their promises when expectations are appropriate.

In Edinburgh the price of an Oxygen Facial typically ranges from around £100 to £100. Local factors in Edinburgh such as clinic location, practitioner experience and demand can affect the final cost. The cost of Oxygen Facial overall depends on whether you want a single session or a course, the treatment area, and any specialised serums or add-ons used. If you’re searching for how much Oxygen Facial costs or the price of Oxygen Facial in Edinburgh, compare practitioner qualifications and package options. Yes, oxygen facials work for their intended purpose of providing immediate skin hydration, radiance and a refreshed, glowing appearance. They are particularly effective as pre-event treatments or regular maintenance for overall skin health, though understanding what they do and do not achieve helps set appropriate expectations. How oxygen facials work involves a device delivering pressurised oxygen to the skin surface; the oxygen stream carries hydrating serums containing vitamins, antioxidants and hyaluronic acid; the pressure helps ingredients penetrate more effectively; and increased oxygen exposure may temporarily boost skin metabolism. Evidence of effectiveness shows immediate visible improvement in skin hydration and glow; high patient satisfaction for radiance and refreshment; effective delivery of active ingredients to the skin; and popularity among celebrities and for pre-event preparation. What oxygen facials work for includes immediate hydration and plumping; creating radiant, glowing complexion; delivering antioxidants and vitamins to the skin; refreshing tired, dull skin; preparing skin for special occasions; and providing relaxing, pampering treatment experience. Limitations to understand include results being temporary, typically lasting 3 to 7 days; the treatment not providing deep structural changes; it being less effective for significant skin concerns like deep wrinkles or scarring; and regular treatments being needed to maintain benefits. Oxygen facials work best for those wanting immediate beautification; as part of regular maintenance routine; for special event preparation; and for those who enjoy gentle, relaxing treatments with visible results.

An oxygen facial can be worth it depending on your goals and expectations, particularly if you are seeking immediate radiance for a special event or enjoy regular gentle maintenance treatments that provide visible hydration and glow without downtime. What makes oxygen facials worth considering includes immediate visible results with no downtime; gentle, relaxing treatment suitable for sensitive skin; effective hydration and radiance enhancement; excellent pre-event preparation for photos or occasions; no recovery time needed; and enjoyable spa experience alongside results. Oxygen facials are worth it if you want immediate glow before a special event, wedding or photos; you enjoy regular maintenance facials as part of your skincare routine; you prefer gentle treatments without redness or recovery; you have sensitive skin that cannot tolerate aggressive treatments; and you value the relaxation and pampering experience. They may not be worth it if you expect long-lasting structural changes from a single treatment; you have significant skin concerns requiring clinical intervention; budget is limited and you need to prioritise treatments; you prefer results that last weeks or months rather than days; or you are looking for intensive anti-ageing or corrective treatment. Cost-benefit considerations show individual treatments typically costing £80 to £200; results lasting approximately 3 to 7 days; regular monthly treatments providing cumulative maintenance benefits; and the treatment working well alongside other skincare approaches. Most satisfied oxygen facial clients are those who appreciate immediate beautification, enjoy the treatment experience, and incorporate it into regular skincare maintenance or use it strategically before important events.

Oxygen facials can be suitable for some people with rosacea due to their gentle, non-irritating nature, though individual responses vary and caution is advised. The treatment's lack of harsh chemicals, heat or abrasion makes it potentially appropriate for sensitive, rosacea-prone skin, but consultation with your practitioner is essential. Why oxygen facials may be suitable for rosacea includes the gentle, non-abrasive application without scrubbing or friction; no heat involved that could trigger flushing; hydrating properties that benefit often-dehydrated rosacea skin; calming serums that can be customised for sensitive skin; and lack of harsh chemicals that might irritate. Potential benefits for rosacea skin include improved hydration without irritation; delivery of soothing, anti-inflammatory ingredients; gentle treatment unlikely to trigger flare-ups; and refreshed appearance without redness from the treatment itself. Cautions and considerations include that individual rosacea triggers vary widely; some people may react to specific serum ingredients; the pressure from oxygen delivery could potentially irritate very sensitive skin; and you should always inform your practitioner about your rosacea. Recommendations for rosacea sufferers include discussing your condition with the practitioner before treatment; requesting a patch test if concerned; asking for calming, rosacea-appropriate serums; avoiding treatment during active flare-ups; and starting with a gentler treatment to assess tolerance. While oxygen facials are generally considered rosacea-friendly, what works for one person may not work for another. Working with an experienced practitioner who understands rosacea and can customise the treatment appropriately is important for a positive experience.

Yes, oxygen facials are generally good for skin, providing hydration, nourishment and a healthy glow without the risks associated with more aggressive treatments. The gentle nature makes them suitable for most skin types while delivering visible improvement in skin appearance and quality. Benefits of oxygen facials for skin include deep hydration plumping and refreshing the skin; delivery of vitamins and antioxidants nourishing skin cells; improved radiance and healthy glow; gentle treatment suitable for sensitive skin; no downtime or recovery needed; and support for overall skin health maintenance. What makes oxygen facials good for skin relates to the non-invasive approach causing no trauma or damage; customisable serums addressing specific skin needs; hydration benefiting virtually all skin types; antioxidant delivery protecting against environmental damage; and the treatment supporting rather than stressing the skin. Oxygen facials are particularly good for dehydrated skin needing moisture; dull, tired-looking skin lacking radiance; sensitive skin that cannot tolerate harsh treatments; mature skin benefiting from gentle nourishment; and all skin types as maintenance between more intensive treatments. Limitations for skin improvement include oxygen facials not treating deep structural concerns; results being temporary rather than permanent; they work best as maintenance rather than corrective treatment; and significant skin issues requiring more intensive interventions. For overall skin health and appearance, oxygen facials provide a safe, gentle way to maintain hydration, deliver beneficial ingredients and keep skin looking its best without risking damage or requiring recovery time.

An oxygen facial delivers pressurised oxygen infused with customised serums containing vitamins, antioxidants, hyaluronic acid and other beneficial ingredients directly to the skin surface, providing immediate hydration, nourishment and a radiant, refreshed appearance. The treatment works through multiple mechanisms to rejuvenate the skin. The oxygen delivery component involves a specialised device producing a pressurised stream of oxygen; this oxygen is directed onto the skin surface; the pressure helps ingredients penetrate more effectively; and increased oxygen exposure may temporarily boost cellular activity. The serum infusion component uses customised serums chosen for your skin type and concerns; common ingredients include hyaluronic acid for hydration, vitamin C for brightening, vitamin E for protection, peptides for anti-ageing, and botanical extracts for nourishment. What the treatment achieves includes immediate hydration with skin appearing plumper and more supple; enhanced radiance with dull skin transformed to glowing; improved texture with smoother, softer skin surface; nourishment with vitamins and antioxidants delivered to cells; and temporary reduction in fine lines through hydration and plumping. During the treatment, your face is cleansed and prepared; the oxygen wand is moved across your face delivering the infused stream; the treatment feels cool and refreshing; there is no discomfort; and the session typically takes 30 to 60 minutes. The result is immediately visible improvement in skin hydration, radiance and overall appearance without any downtime, redness or recovery period.

Oxygen facial results typically last 3 to 7 days, with the immediate glow and hydration gradually diminishing over the following week. The temporary nature of results makes oxygen facials ideal for pre-event preparation or as part of a regular maintenance routine. The timeline of results shows that immediately after treatment, significant glow, hydration and radiance are visible; during days 1 to 3, skin continues to look plump, hydrated and refreshed; during days 3 to 5, results remain noticeable though beginning to diminish; during days 5 to 7, skin returns toward baseline though may still appear better than pre-treatment; and after one week, most effects have faded. Factors affecting how long results last include your baseline skin condition and hydration levels; skincare routine between treatments; environmental factors like climate and pollution; lifestyle factors including hydration, sleep and diet; and how frequently you have treatments. To extend the benefits of your oxygen facial, maintain good hydration by drinking adequate water; use quality moisturisers and hydrating serums; protect skin from environmental stressors; avoid harsh products that strip hydration; and consider regular treatments for cumulative benefits. Why results are temporary relates to the treatment primarily providing surface hydration and ingredient delivery; the effects not creating permanent structural changes; natural skin turnover and environmental exposure affecting longevity; and the treatment being designed for maintenance rather than lasting correction. For special events, scheduling your oxygen facial 1 to 3 days before ensures optimal glow while allowing any unlikely minor reaction to settle.

Before oxygen facial treatment, people typically have dull, tired-looking skin lacking radiance and vitality; dehydrated skin appearing flat or lacklustre; uneven skin texture; skin showing effects of stress, travel or lack of sleep; complexion needing refreshment before a special event; and overall skin quality that would benefit from hydration and nourishment. These concerns often prompt people to seek a gentle, effective treatment providing immediate visible improvement. After oxygen facial treatment, assessed immediately and in the days following the session, most people experience noticeable enhancement in skin appearance. Common immediate results include significantly brighter, more radiant complexion; plumper, more hydrated skin with improved bounce; smoother, softer skin texture; healthy, dewy glow; refreshed, rejuvenated appearance; and skin that looks well-rested and nourished. The results timeline shows immediately after treatment with maximum glow, hydration and radiance visible; during days 1 to 3, skin continues looking fresh, plump and luminous; during days 3 to 5, results remain visible though gradually softening; during days 5 to 7, skin returns toward baseline; and with regular monthly treatments, maintained radiance and cumulative hydration benefits develop. The degree of improvement depends on your baseline skin condition; how dehydrated your skin was before treatment; the specific serums used; individual skin response; and supporting skincare routine. Before and after expectations should be realistic: oxygen facials provide immediate, visible improvement in radiance and hydration; results are temporary, lasting approximately one week; the treatment excels at beautification rather than correction; and regular treatments maintain optimal skin appearance. Most satisfied patients appreciate the immediate glow and refreshment; use oxygen facials strategically before special occasions; enjoy the relaxing, pampering experience; and understand the treatment provides maintenance and beautification rather than permanent structural change.
