I saw Dr Paulina Charlesworth to discuss a weight loss regime. I had recently had a total hip replacement and although I wasn’t in the obese category, ongoing problems with my knees as well as my other hip, suggested that losing some weight would be a good idea. Almost immediately on arrival at her surgery, Dr Paulina asked me whether I had rheumatoid arthritis – I realised she was looking intently at my hands. I told her that I did not have rheumatoid arthritis as I had tested negatively for it by my GP just a week or so earlier. Dr Paulina remained very concerned about the appearance of my hands, even bringing a book over to explain the various signs of severe arthritis that she could see. During our conversation, I told her about my hip replacement and all my other joint problems – I could see she was concerned for my health. Quite honestly, I was surprised at her genuine warmth and concern for my overall health when I had simply come for weight loss advice. Dr Paulina’s concern for my health resulted in her offering to write a letter for me, free of charge, so that I could make an appointment with a Consultant Rheumatologist and have my hands and joints checked properly.

I had that appointment with the Rheumatologist last week, who confirmed that I had not Rheumatoid, but severe Osteoarthritis, and more surprisingly that I have a Hypermobility Syndrome! Finding out that I have a Hypermobility Syndrome explains SO MUCH about all the problems I have had over the years as my loose ligaments have caused early onset Osteoarthritis. I can’t believe that it took 62 years to find out what was at the cause of so much pain throughout my life, including skin problems as the hypermobility affects collagen and the skin too.

A big THANK YOU to Dr Paulina for taking the time to help me discover what was wrong with me! Really, her care for my overall health was astonishing.

Also…I’ve lost 10lbs which is a very good thing too!

I couldn’t recommend Mr Banwell or the McIndoe centre more. The level of patient care is second to none. Mr Banwell was so lovely and thorough with his consultations. I felt completely at ease and trusted him wholly. I am absolutely thrilled with my results! The hospital staff and admin team were also brilliant. A procedure under GA can be anxiety inducing but it was a genuine pleasure from start to finish. Thank you everyone!!

After reading good reviews about Epsom Skin many years ago when I was looking for laser removal of age spots, I gave this practice a try and found the treatments to be very successful. I have been going to the clinic for many years now for laser treatment of my skin pigmentation and Danni has been wonderful with the treatments. She is very skilled and professional.

The pricing is also very competitive with good discount for return customers. Overall a very good practice, with friendly staff and good presentation of the premises.

Would certainly recommend the practice for laser treatments for age spots.

FAQs

A follow-up appointment is a scheduled consultation after your initial aesthetic treatment where your practitioner assesses your results, monitors healing progress, checks for any complications, determines if additional treatments are needed, and adjusts your treatment plan as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes and patient satisfaction. The purpose of follow-up appointments includes evaluating treatment effectiveness and results; monitoring healing and recovery; identifying and addressing any concerns or complications early; determining if enhancement or maintenance treatments are needed; adjusting treatment plans based on response; documenting progress with photographs; and ensuring patient satisfaction with outcomes. What happens during follow-ups shows practitioner examining treated areas; comparing to baseline photographs; discussing your satisfaction and concerns; assessing healing and any side effects; determining if results meet expectations; recommending additional treatments if beneficial; and answering any questions. When follow-ups are typically scheduled demonstrates timing varying by treatment type; some treatments requiring multiple check-ins at specific intervals; generally scheduled at key milestone points in healing or result development; and being tailored to individual treatment protocols. The importance of follow-up care relates to ensuring treatments are working as intended; catching potential issues early when easiest to address; optimizing final results through timely interventions; building ongoing patient-practitioner relationship; and achieving best possible outcomes. Types of follow-up appointments include immediate post-treatment checks within days for invasive procedures; short-term follow-ups at 2-4 weeks for most treatments; medium-term assessments at 2-3 months when results developing; long-term evaluations at 6-12 months for final outcomes; and maintenance consultations for ongoing care. Who needs follow-up appointments shows essentially everyone receiving aesthetic treatments benefiting from monitoring; being especially important after invasive procedures, injectables, or treatments with gradual results; and being standard of care in quality aesthetic practices.

In Godstone, the price of Follow-up Appointments typically ranges from around £40 to £40, but prices can vary between clinics. Local costs depend on appointment length, whether the follow-up is included in a package or billed separately, any additional procedures or tests, and the practitioner’s experience. If you want to know how much Follow-up Appointments costs in Godstone or compare the price of Follow-up Appointments locally, this range provides a general guide to the cost of Follow-up Appointments overall in Godstone. You can find the exact, up-to-date price for this treatment in the catalogue

Follow-up appointments are crucial for ensuring treatment safety, optimizing results, identifying and addressing complications early, determining if additional treatments are needed, and maintaining the patient-practitioner relationship that is essential for achieving your aesthetic goals. The safety monitoring importance shows follow-ups allowing early detection of complications; identifying adverse reactions or infections promptly; ensuring proper healing progression; catching issues when most treatable; and preventing minor concerns from becoming major problems. Optimizing treatment results involves assessing whether treatment is working as intended; determining if enhancement sessions are beneficial; adjusting treatment plans based on individual response; maximizing effectiveness through timely interventions; and ensuring you achieve desired outcomes. Early problem identification demonstrates many complications being more easily treated when caught early; subtle signs being identified by trained practitioners; preventing progression of issues; addressing concerns before they impact final results; and peace of mind through professional monitoring. Treatment plan adjustment based on response shows not everyone responding identically to treatments; some people needing protocol modifications; customizing approach for optimal individual results; determining if different or additional treatments would benefit; and personalizing care. The documentation and tracking value includes baseline and progress photographs documenting improvement; objective measurement of results; creating medical record of your treatment journey; helping with future treatment planning; and providing evidence of outcomes. Building patient-practitioner relationship involves developing trust through ongoing care; open communication about concerns; practitioner understanding your goals and preferences; collaborative approach to aesthetic care; and long-term partnership for optimal results. When follow-ups are most critical shows after invasive procedures requiring close monitoring; following treatments with potential complications; when results develop gradually over months; for injectable treatments needing assessment before next session; and when something doesn't feel right. The cost-benefit of follow-ups demonstrates preventing expensive complications through early intervention; optimizing value from treatments through proper monitoring; avoiding need for corrective procedures; and being included or low-cost typically. Most aesthetic practitioners emphasize that follow-up appointments are not optional extras but essential components of quality care that significantly impact safety, results and satisfaction.

Follow-up appointments are typically scheduled based on the specific treatment performed and expected healing timeline, ranging from 24-48 hours after invasive procedures to 2-4 weeks for most treatments, with additional check-ins at 2-3 months when results are developing and 6-12 months for final outcome assessment. Immediate follow-ups within 24-48 hours show being scheduled after surgical or invasive procedures; checking for immediate post-procedure complications; ensuring proper healing initiation; removing dressings or drains if applicable; and providing critical early monitoring. Short-term follow-ups at 1-2 weeks include checking healing progress; assessing for infection or adverse reactions; removing sutures if applicable; evaluating early results; and addressing immediate concerns. Medium-term follow-ups at 2-4 weeks demonstrate being common timing for most non-invasive treatments; assessing initial results; determining if any touch-ups needed; checking for delayed reactions; and being standard first follow-up for many procedures. Follow-ups at 2-3 months show allowing time for gradual results to develop; assessing treatments like fillers, PRP, RF at optimal timeline; determining if additional sessions beneficial; photographically documenting improvement; and planning next steps. Long-term follow-ups at 6-12 months include evaluating final treatment outcomes; assessing treatments with gradual collagen stimulation; determining long-term satisfaction; planning maintenance; and completing treatment documentation. Treatment-specific timing shows Botox follow-ups at 2 weeks for assessment; dermal fillers at 2-4 weeks for possible touch-up; laser treatments at 4-6 weeks to monitor results; PRP therapy at 3-6 months when results develop; surgical procedures having multiple staged follow-ups; and each treatment having optimal assessment windows. Multiple follow-up schedules demonstrate some treatments requiring several check-ins; staged monitoring throughout healing and result development; important milestones being key assessment points; and comprehensive care involving ongoing monitoring. Maintenance follow-ups for ongoing treatments include scheduling next sessions at appropriate intervals; monitoring cumulative results; adjusting protocols as needed; and long-term relationship for sustained outcomes. The flexibility in scheduling shows appointments being adjusted based on individual healing; concerns prompting earlier follow-up; good progress allowing longer intervals; and being tailored to patient needs.

During a follow-up appointment, your practitioner will examine treated areas, review healing progress, compare current appearance to baseline photographs, discuss your satisfaction and any concerns, assess if additional treatments would be beneficial, document results, and adjust your treatment plan as needed to optimize outcomes. The examination process includes visual inspection of treated areas; checking for signs of complications or adverse reactions; assessing healing quality and progression; evaluating treatment effectiveness; palpating areas if applicable; and thorough professional assessment. Photographic documentation shows taking standardized progress photographs; comparing to baseline images; objectively documenting improvement; creating visual record of your journey; and helping track changes over time. Discussion and patient feedback involves asking about your satisfaction with results; listening to any concerns or questions; understanding your experience; assessing if expectations are being met; and open communication about outcomes. Results assessment demonstrates measuring changes objectively when possible; evaluating degree of improvement; determining if results are developing as expected; identifying areas needing enhancement; and professional analysis of outcomes. Treatment plan review and adjustment includes determining if additional sessions are needed; discussing timing of next treatments; modifying approach based on response; setting realistic expectations for continued improvement; and planning optimal path forward. Addressing concerns or complications shows examining any issues thoroughly; determining if intervention is needed; prescribing treatment for complications if present; providing reassurance when appropriate; and ensuring patient safety and wellbeing. Next steps discussion involves scheduling additional treatments if recommended; providing continued aftercare instructions; discussing maintenance plans; setting expectations for further improvement; and planning long-term care. Documentation and medical records includes updating your treatment file; recording findings and recommendations; maintaining comprehensive medical records; and ensuring continuity of care. The appointment duration shows typically lasting 15-30 minutes; being thorough but efficient; allowing adequate time for examination and discussion; and being scheduled appropriately in practitioner's calendar. Follow-up appointments are collaborative consultations ensuring your treatment journey is progressing optimally, any issues are addressed promptly, and you achieve the best possible results from your aesthetic treatments.

While follow-up appointments are typically not legally mandatory, attending them is strongly recommended and often considered essential for optimal results, patient safety, and ensuring you receive the full benefit of your treatment investment. Many practitioners include follow-ups as part of their treatment protocols and may require attendance for warranty or touch-up policies. Why attendance is strongly recommended includes monitoring for complications that need early intervention; assessing if treatment is working as intended; determining if enhancement is beneficial; optimizing your final results; and fulfilling duty of care between patient and practitioner. The safety monitoring importance shows many complications being preventable or easily treated when caught early; some issues developing days to weeks post-treatment; subtle signs being identified by trained professionals; your health and safety being paramount; and professional monitoring providing peace of mind. Treatment optimization through follow-ups demonstrates determining if additional sessions would benefit you; adjusting protocols based on individual response; maximizing value from your investment; achieving best possible outcomes; and evidence showing better results with proper monitoring. Contractual and policy considerations include some practices requiring follow-ups for warranty coverage; touch-up policies often depending on attendance; complimentary adjustments possibly requiring assessment; practitioners documenting compliance with protocols; and your responsibilities as outlined in consent forms. When follow-ups are most critical shows after invasive or surgical procedures requiring close monitoring; following treatments with potential complications like vascular occlusion risk; when results develop gradually over months; if you notice anything concerning; and for your peace of mind. Consequences of missing follow-ups include potential complications going undetected; suboptimal results from lack of adjustment; voiding warranties or touch-up policies; incomplete medical documentation; and practitioner being unable to optimize outcomes. Communicating scheduling challenges involves contacting clinic if you cannot attend; rescheduling rather than canceling; explaining any concerns about attending; practitioners often being accommodating; and maintaining the patient-practitioner relationship. Virtual follow-up options show some appointments being conducted via video consultation; photographs being reviewed remotely; discussing concerns by phone; but in-person examination being preferable for thorough assessment; and being suitable for straightforward check-ins. Most reputable aesthetic practitioners emphasize that follow-up appointments are integral to quality care and optimal outcomes, strongly encouraging attendance while understanding occasional scheduling conflicts, with the goal being your safety, satisfaction and achieving the best possible results from your aesthetic treatments.
