Visited the clinic for the Keravive Scalp Treatment. Was a lovely experience from start to finish and the salon was clean and welcoming. I was experiencing some hair loss and an itchy scalp prior to the treatment so thought this treatment would help. Regarding the treatment I thought my scalp was clean when I attended my appointment, but after the treatment I saw the residue that came off my scalp and realise the treatment really does cleanse the scalp! My hair and scalp felt super clean and healthy afterwards. Thank you!

FAQs

Earlobe filler is a cosmetic treatment using dermal filler injections to restore volume, firmness and shape to earlobes that have become thin, wrinkled, elongated or saggy due to ageing, heavy earring wear or genetics. The treatment rejuvenates the earlobes, making them appear fuller, smoother and more youthful while also providing better support for earrings. Earlobes lose volume and elasticity over time due to natural ageing and collagen loss; years of wearing heavy or dangling earrings that stretch the tissue; repeated trauma from earring insertion and removal; genetic predisposition to thin earlobes; and weight loss affecting facial fat including earlobes. Earlobe filler treatment involves injecting hyaluronic acid filler into the earlobe tissue; the filler restores lost volume and plumpness; it improves skin quality and reduces wrinkles; it can reduce the appearance of stretched piercing holes; and it provides structural support for earrings. The treatment is quick, typically taking 15 to 30 minutes for both earlobes; it causes minimal discomfort, especially with numbing; there is no significant downtime; results are visible immediately; and it provides a simple solution for a concern that many people find bothersome but do not realise can be treated. Earlobe filler is increasingly popular as people recognise that rejuvenated earlobes contribute to overall facial appearance and allow continued enjoyment of wearing earrings without self-consciousness about aged or damaged lobes.

Prices vary between clinics and practitioners. In Edinburgh, the price of Earlobe Filler typically ranges from around £345 to £345. Local differences reflect how much filler is used (ml or syringes), the brand or type of filler, practitioner experience and whether a personalised treatment plan or touch-ups are required, which affects how much Earlobe Filler costs. When comparing clinics consider the desired result and aftercare, since the price of Earlobe Filler overall can vary accordingly. Earlobes may benefit from filler when they have lost volume, become stretched or developed signs of ageing that affect their appearance and ability to support earrings comfortably. Several factors contribute to earlobes needing rejuvenation. Ageing effects on earlobes include natural loss of collagen and elastin over time; decreased fat and soft tissue volume; skin becoming thinner and more crepe-like; development of wrinkles and lines on the lobe; and overall loss of firmness and plumpness. Earring-related damage accumulates through years of wearing heavy earrings stretching the tissue; piercing holes elongating and migrating downward; repeated trauma from earring insertion and removal; and gravitational effects of weighted jewellery. Stretched or elongated piercing holes often result from heavy statement earrings; accidentally catching or pulling earrings; sleeping with earrings in; and cumulative stretching over decades of earring wear. Signs that earlobes may benefit from filler include thin, deflated appearance lacking youthful fullness; visible wrinkles and crepe-like texture; elongated or stretched piercing holes; earrings hanging at an angle or sitting incorrectly; piercings appearing close to the edge of the lobe; and overall aged appearance to the ear area. Many people do not realise that earlobes can be rejuvenated, suffering self-consciousness about wearing earrings or avoiding them altogether. Earlobe filler offers a simple, effective solution to restore youthful appearance and function.

Yes, earlobe filler is considered a safe treatment when performed by qualified practitioners using appropriate products and techniques. The earlobes are actually one of the lower-risk areas for filler injection due to their anatomy and blood supply. Why earlobe filler is generally safe includes the earlobes having relatively simple anatomy without major blood vessels; low risk of vascular complications compared to facial areas; the tissue being accessible and easy to inject precisely; hyaluronic acid fillers being reversible with hyaluronidase if needed; and the treatment having an established safety record. Potential risks, though uncommon, include bruising and swelling at injection sites; temporary tenderness or discomfort; asymmetry if injection is uneven; infection if proper sterile technique is not followed; lumpiness or irregularity if filler is not placed correctly; and allergic reaction, though rare with hyaluronic acid. To ensure safety, choose qualified practitioners experienced with earlobe rejuvenation; ensure sterile technique and proper hygiene; disclose any allergies or medical conditions; follow aftercare instructions carefully; and report any unusual symptoms promptly. Aftercare for safety involves keeping the area clean; avoiding touching or manipulating the earlobes; waiting 24 to 48 hours before wearing earrings; watching for signs of infection; and avoiding sleeping directly on treated earlobes initially. The excellent safety profile of earlobe filler makes it suitable for most people wanting to rejuvenate this often-overlooked area.

Earlobe filler causes minimal discomfort for most people, with the treatment being well-tolerated and often described as much less painful than expected. The earlobes are relatively easy to numb effectively, making the procedure comfortable. Pain management for earlobe filler typically involves topical numbing cream applied 15 to 30 minutes before treatment; some fillers contain lidocaine providing additional numbing during injection; ice may be applied before and after injection; and the small treatment area means the procedure is quick. What you typically feel during treatment includes initial pinch or sting as the needle enters; mild pressure as filler is injected; possible slight burning as filler is placed; and overall discomfort rated 2 to 4 out of 10 by most people. Factors affecting comfort include individual pain tolerance; effectiveness of numbing cream; practitioner technique and gentleness; and anxiety levels, as relaxation helps reduce discomfort. After treatment, mild tenderness and sensitivity are normal for a few days; the earlobes may feel slightly firm or swollen; discomfort is typically minimal and resolves quickly; and over-the-counter pain relief is rarely needed but available if desired. Most people are pleasantly surprised by how comfortable earlobe filler treatment is, particularly given the visible improvement achieved. The quick treatment time, typically 15 to 30 minutes, means any discomfort is brief, and results are immediately rewarding.

Earlobe filler typically requires 0.5ml to 1ml per earlobe, with most people needing 1ml to 2ml total for both earlobes. The exact amount depends on the degree of volume loss, desired fullness and the specific concerns being addressed. Volume requirements by concern show that mild volume loss and early thinning typically needs 0.3ml to 0.5ml per lobe; moderate volume loss with noticeable deflation needs 0.5ml to 0.8ml per lobe; significant volume loss with very thin, aged lobes needs 0.8ml to 1ml or more per lobe; and stretched piercing holes requiring structural support may need additional volume. Factors affecting how much filler is needed include your baseline earlobe size and natural fullness; the degree of volume loss and thinning; whether piercings are stretched and need support; your desired outcome, from subtle to fuller restoration; and individual anatomy and tissue characteristics. Treatment approach considerations show that practitioners often start conservatively; additional filler can be added if more fullness is desired; overfilling should be avoided as it looks unnatural; and both earlobes should be treated symmetrically. Cost implications indicate that earlobe filler typically costs £150 to £300 per ml; total treatment usually ranges from £200 to £400 for both earlobes; and results last 9 to 12 months or longer. During consultation, your practitioner will assess your earlobes and recommend an appropriate amount based on your specific anatomy, degree of volume loss and desired outcome, ensuring natural-looking rejuvenation.

Earlobe fillers typically last 9 to 18 months, often longer than filler in more mobile facial areas, because the earlobes have minimal muscle movement and relatively stable tissue. Many people find their earlobe filler lasts 12 months or more before maintenance is needed. Why earlobe filler lasts well relates to the earlobes having very little muscle activity affecting filler breakdown; stable tissue with less mechanical stress than facial areas; good blood supply supporting filler integration; and the filler becoming part of the tissue structure effectively. The typical timeline shows immediate results visible after treatment; weeks 1 to 2 with any swelling settling and true results apparent; months 6 to 9 with results remaining excellent; months 9 to 12 with results still visible but possibly slightly diminished; and months 12 to 18 when most people consider maintenance treatment. Factors affecting duration include the type of filler used, with thicker fillers potentially lasting longer; the amount placed and initial fullness achieved; individual metabolism affecting filler breakdown; and whether earlobes continue to be stressed by heavy earrings. To maximise longevity, avoid wearing excessively heavy earrings that stress the tissue; remove earrings when sleeping to prevent pulling; handle earlobes gently; and schedule maintenance before results fully fade. The long duration of earlobe filler makes it a cost-effective treatment, with most people needing only annual touch-ups to maintain rejuvenated, youthful-looking earlobes that support earrings beautifully.

Earlobe filler can improve the appearance of mildly to moderately stretched earlobes and elongated piercing holes, though severely stretched or torn earlobes may require surgical repair for optimal results. Understanding what filler can and cannot achieve helps set appropriate expectations. What earlobe filler can improve includes mildly elongated piercing holes by adding volume around them; thin tissue around stretched piercings that has lost support; the overall appearance of earlobes that have stretched over time; and structural support helping piercings sit more centrally. How filler helps stretched piercings involves adding volume and thickness to the surrounding tissue; providing structural support to hold earrings better; reducing the appearance of elongation by plumping the lobe; and helping piercings appear more centred and less close to the edge. Limitations of filler for stretched earlobes show that severely elongated or split piercings require surgical repair; filler cannot close a stretched hole, only improve surrounding tissue; very thin tissue may not hold filler well; and results depend on the degree of stretching. When surgery is more appropriate includes completely torn or split earlobes; severely elongated piercings reaching near the lobe edge; gauge piercings that have been stretched intentionally and removed; and cases where filler alone cannot provide adequate improvement. A combined approach may work best for some people, with surgical repair closing torn or severely stretched piercings and filler then adding volume once healed. Consultation with an experienced practitioner allows assessment of your specific situation and recommendation of whether filler alone will help or if surgical repair is needed first.

You should wait 24 to 48 hours before wearing earrings after earlobe filler treatment to allow the filler to settle and the injection sites to heal. Some practitioners recommend waiting up to one week for optimal results, particularly if the treatment was performed to help support earrings better. The recommended timeline shows that during hours 0 to 24, no earrings should be worn to allow initial healing and filler settling; during hours 24 to 48, lightweight studs may be worn if comfortable; during days 2 to 7, regular earrings can gradually be reintroduced; and after one week, normal earring wear can resume. When resuming earring wear, start with lightweight studs rather than heavy dangly earrings; ensure earrings are clean to avoid infection; insert earrings gently without forcing; avoid sleeping with earrings for the first week; and if any discomfort occurs, remove earrings and wait longer. Earring recommendations after treatment suggest avoiding heavy earrings for 1 to 2 weeks; choosing quality metals that will not irritate healing tissue; keeping earrings clean; and gradually returning to normal jewellery choices. Long-term earring advice to protect your results includes considering lighter earring options to preserve results; removing earrings at night to prevent stretching; avoiding excessively heavy statement pieces regularly; and being gentle when inserting and removing earrings. Following these guidelines helps ensure optimal healing and maximises the longevity of your earlobe filler results while allowing you to enjoy wearing earrings confidently.

Before earlobe filler treatment, people typically have thin, deflated earlobes that have lost youthful fullness; wrinkled, crepe-like skin texture on the lobes; elongated or stretched piercing holes from years of earring wear; earrings hanging at awkward angles or sitting incorrectly; piercings appearing close to the edge of the lobe; overall aged appearance to the ear area; and self-consciousness about wearing earrings or showing their ears. These changes often accumulate over decades and can significantly affect confidence in wearing jewellery. After earlobe filler treatment, assessed once any initial swelling has settled (typically 24 to 48 hours), most people experience immediately visible improvement. Common results include fuller, plumper earlobes with restored volume; smoother skin texture with reduced wrinkles; improved appearance of stretched or elongated piercings; earrings sitting correctly and hanging properly; piercings appearing more centrally located on the lobe; more youthful overall appearance to the ears; and restored confidence in wearing earrings. The degree of improvement depends on the baseline condition of your earlobes; the amount of filler placed; the severity of stretching or volume loss; and individual tissue response to treatment. During and after treatment, the timeline shows immediately visible plumping and rejuvenation; days 1 to 2 with mild swelling settling; days 2 to 7 with optimal results becoming apparent; and earrings can be worn again after 24 to 48 hours. Before and after expectations should be realistic: earlobe filler provides significant improvement in volume and appearance; severely stretched or torn earlobes may need surgical repair; results are natural-looking rejuvenation rather than dramatic transformation; and maintenance is needed every 9 to 18 months to sustain results. Most satisfied patients are pleasantly surprised by how much difference earlobe rejuvenation makes to their overall appearance and their enjoyment of wearing earrings confidently.
