I had 4 sessions of RF and IPL treatments with Sharon for my dry eyes. As anyone who suffers from MGD/ dry eyes will know - the desperation and helplessness is real - and I did want to believe that these treatments would help me, but unfortunately I have to say they have not. I want to highlight that this is just my personal experience and there are others in the reviews, who have benefited from these treatments, but I believe it is important to share the not-so-good experiences and journeys too especially since these treatments are so expensive. I had IPL treatments only with other professionals before and while I have never felt a huge improvement, it did help, but this time the effect was the opposite. I'm not sure if it was the RF treatment that was not a good match for me, if it was the time of the year or some other factors, it's really hard to tell, but I do feel my eyes are now worse than before I started the treatments - I do have extreme dryness in both eyes upon waking up, something I did not have at all before starting the treatments, and in general while I started off with feeling some dryness on many days, now it's progressed to extreme dryness almost every day. I wanted to wait a few weeks before sharing my experience hoping that the eyes may settle down, but they haven't. I could not complete all the post-treatment eyelid expressions as during the second session I had an excruciating reaction to the expression in one of my eyes - I had eye tearing for around 30 mins and one of the worst pains I ever felt in the eye - so a was extremely worried about further session and looking back now I should have listened to my gut and not undergone the rest of the sessions even at the risk of "losing" the money I paid upfront. Sharon was not sure why that reaction had happened and told me she'd never seen it before and did say that the overall treatment effectiveness will be lowered without eyelid expressions, but that experience simply left me genuinely worried during the 3rd and 4th sessions and I just did not feel comfortable. I'm of course extremely sad, worried and disappointed that I spent £2000 on treatments that made my eyes feel and look worse, but unfortunately that risk is always there with any treatment I guess. Again looking back I wish I had paid for individual sessions rather than the batch of 4 and stopped after the 2nd one, but since Sharon offers a discount for payments upfront and this was already so very expensive, I was enticed to pay upfront. At the end of the final session, Sharon recommended more treatment courses of RF, more tests and referrals (i.e. more money I simply do not even have anymore) as the results during the final session were not good, but at that point I decided could not take any more risks. APRIL 25 - UPDATE After ongoing struggles with eye redness and pain post treatment, especially in the injured eye, I decided to seek help from an expert ophthalmologist and I'm now being treated for eye inflammation - I'm glad I did not follow up with more treatments as per Sharon's advise as the expert's opinion is that it would not have helped at all. I'm hoping to see some improvement soon. I was also disappointed to see that after I had posted my initial review here, Sharon sent me a text message asking if I was free to talk, I said yes, but she never contacted me further - I would expect she would at least want to understand my condition further to learn from it, but sadly it was not an isolated event either as I often had to chase her even during the treatment period - once I made the full payment... I see new positive reviews have been added here after I had shared my negative experience so it seems my case was a one off - I still strongly encourage everyone to seek second opinion as much as possible.

I've been seeing Dr Julia for cosmeceutical treatments/injectables for just over a year. Only recently has she also become my dentist. I am beyond impressed at her chair-side care along with her thoroughness and speediness it completing necessary work. She and her dental assistant make what can be a very uncomfortable situation one that is pleasant -- dare I say enjoyable. I cannot recommend her enough.
