Reading Smiles

I went to Reading smiles to straighten my teeths which were in really bad shape. I been told it could take up to 3 years but everything has been completed in about 18 months. I was never able to smile or had to cover my mouth while smiling because of the bad teeths. Now I can smile without covering my mouth. Life changing experience. I visited 3 clinics prior to treatment and I think I made the best choice to start treatment and Reading smiles. Highly appreciate dr. Hanel knowledge as well as all staff working at Reading smiles. They are very nice, polite and helpful. It is also great that I was able to spread the payments without any interest. I just can't recommend highly enough. 12/10 ! I would never go anywhere else for any work on my teeths.

My experience with Reading Smiles has always been excellent. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. I called on 28/10/2025 to book an appointment and spoke with Marwa, who was extremely lovely and helpful. Her customer service was outstanding — she went above and beyond to assist me. As a whole, Reading Smiles is a fantastic business, and Marwa’s professionalism and kindness truly deserve recognition.

After a few consultations with other dentists and lots of recommendations from people I found Reading Smiles ! The treatment I received was amazing , putting my anxieties at ease . I had Invisalign some bonding and teeth whitening and now have the perfect smile thanks to Dr phillon, zeyneb and shuha…. I cannot thank them enough

I’ve been coming to Reading Smiles since I moved to Reading eight years ago, but it was only a couple of years ago that I decided to truly invest in my smile by starting Invisalign and replacing a tooth implant that had been twisting my smile since 2011. Dr. Amorin took wonderful care of my Invisalign treatment, and Dr. Yusuf handled my implant. In both cases, the attention to detail and level of care were absolutely outstanding. I was especially impressed with the implant surgery—I expected it to be painful and uncomfortable, but it was nothing like that at all! I couldn’t have imagined a better experience, and my only regret is not doing it sooner. The entire team at Reading Smiles is incredible—Mario and all the lovely ladies at reception, the amazing nurses, and of course the doctors. They are always kind, professional, and truly dedicated to creating real, confident smiles. I had a great experience at Reading Smiles. They saw me very quickly on an emergency appointment, and from the moment I walked in I felt very well looked after. The whole place feels professional and even a bit exclusive. Everyone I met was extremely kind – Mario at reception was lovely, and the dentist (I’m sorry I don’t remember his name) was also super friendly and reassuring. I left feeling confident that everything will be fine, and I’m really happy with the care I received.

The nicest customer service ever! Everyone is absolutely lovely and so welcoming. I used to absolutely hate going to the dentist and I never thought the day would come when I don’t dread going to the dentist! I never thought it could ever be an enjoyable experience. However I have been going to Reading Smiles a couple years now and I love it! I always see Dr Francisco Amorim and he is such a great dentist! So welcoming, nice and most importantly gentle! Botched bottom teeth In February 2023, Dr Alka Nathwani filed off large portions of my bottom teeth during a routine Invisalign appointment, leaving my teeth different shapes and sizes and the dentine exposed (making it it difficult to drink cold or hot drinks). She had "stepped in" to cover for her brother and owner of the practice, Dr Hanel Nathwani. This followed two years of questionable treatment by the wider team at the practice, where I was regularly gaslight about the length of treatment time and left with biting blocks on during my wedding. I had entrusted Reading Smiles to straighten bottom teeth for my big day. Instead I have been left with lifetime damage. Since the incident the General Dental Council has ruled against Alka Nathwani, which resulted in a six month warning on her file. I have also received a settlement outside of court following legal proceedings. For those attending Reading Smiles, please consider that none of the team are orthodontists and do your research. I wish I had.

I first started with Invisalign appointments at Smiles Reading with Dr. Hanel, and from the very beginning, I was impressed. Dr. Hanel is not only highly professional and an expert in his field, but he also truly cares about his patients. He always provided the best recommendations, explained every step clearly, and ensured regular follow-ups to make sure everything was progressing perfectly. When I moved back to Elmbridge, I continued my Invisalign journey at Smiles Kingston and visiting Dr Hanel at Reading for re-aligments, and I was amazed to see that the team in Kingston follows the same principles, values, and high standards set by Dr. Hanel. It’s rare to find a dental team that genuinely cares so much about their patients, but here, they really do. I’ve always been a little nervous about dentists and treatments, but this team changed that for me. They explain everything patiently and make sure you’re comfortable every step of the way. Although my Invisalign case was straightforward, along the way I lost a tooth (after a root canal done at another practice), and of course, I came back to Smiles for help. Once again, Dr. Hanel guided me in the right direction. I had the implant procedure done by Dr. Fahad Jamil, who is also an outstanding expert. The whole process was seamless and reassuring. Now that I’ve completed both my Invisalign and implant treatments, I honestly miss the team! I never thought I’d say this, but I actually miss going to the dentist. 😊 I wholeheartedly recommend Smiles Reading and Smiles Kingston to anyone looking for expert care, professionalism, and a team that truly has your best interests at heart.
