Need 2 xrays of my back and after initial enquiry on 11th November with their switchboard told to get doctors referral first then make appointment. Asked about prices and timescale but told imaging department would answer all questions but no answer on their extension and this continued with me leaving voicemail messages as well. Phoned Friday 14th Nov to make appointment as I had referral again no answer, complained to the switchboard and told person did not work Friday afternoon, phone Monday. Scanned referral from doctor, sent it and letter to imaging department. Monday morning went through switchboard and straight through to imaging department. Told my referral letter needed to be physically signed and impossible to book until that was done. Extremely unfriendly female. I got the required signature and sent it back immediately and phoned thinking I would now get a date for an appointment. How wrong was I, told she had it all ok but needed to be processed and not to phone again, she would contact me in 72 hours. Borderline rude and today will be 96 hours. The whole idea of going private is to get your treatment quicker than on the nhs. I was expecting someone to tell me price, timescale for xray and results and not hear that they were far too busy to talk to me. Makes me wonder if the treatment you get at hospital is also rushed and if this is just one department or the whole hospital run on a shoe string.

After undergoing shoulder surgery, I began post-operative physiotherapy with Maureen Wicks — and I can honestly say she has been a key part of my recovery and overall well-being. From the very first session, Maureen’s professionalism, expertise, and caring nature stood out. She immediately made me feel supported and confident that I was in the best hands. Her thoughtful and structured approach to my post-op care was exceptional. Maureen tailored every session to my needs, always explaining what we were doing and why. Thanks to her guidance, I regained mobility, strength, and confidence far beyond what I expected. But what truly sets Maureen apart is how she cares about the whole person, not just the injury. Her encouragement and positivity made a huge impact on my mental health throughout my recovery. She turned what could have been a frustrating and painful process into a journey of progress, motivation, and hope. I’m incredibly grateful for Maureen’s skill, patience, and kindness. She has not only improved my shoulder function but also enhanced my quality of life. I would wholeheartedly recommend Maureen Wicks to anyone needing physiotherapy after surgery — she’s simply outstanding.

I recently had a partial knee replacement and everyone was so very helpful and friendly right from my very first visit. All of the appointments were carried out on time and put me right at ease. My operation went smoothly and my stay following the surgery was exceptional. There were always people on hand to help or provide advice if I needed it, and I felt very well cared for. The aftercare was also amazing with regular calls after my operation to check on progress and with scheduled follow up appointments and physiotherapy appointments. I would also particularly like to give special praise to Sandy on the main desk who was so very cheerful and welcoming every time I came in for an appointment. Her enthusiasm and bubbliness was quite infectious and I really appreciated it!
