I had four Ultraformer treatments spaced every three months, costing about £2,000. After each session, the clinic took before-and-after photos. However, by my third session, I asked to see the photos taken before I started the treatment. At first, they told me they don't have the photos. Later, they claimed they were never taken at all. I remember the photos being taken, but even if I’m mistaken, it’s still unprofessional not to properly document before-and-after results. In terms of results, I personally noticed some improvement, though far less than I had hoped. I understand that outcomes can vary from person to person. Three months after my final session, I returned for a follow-up and another round of photos. When these were compared to the last two sessions, there was little to no visible difference. I asked the consultant if she could send me all of my photos, and she said yes but that reception would need to handle it. During that visit, she also told me something like it was “more about how I feel within myself” rather than focusing on objective, measurable results, which I found dismissive given the amount I had paid. Seeing my concerns, she brought in the colleague who had performed my treatments for a second opinion. That colleague suggested I do massage to “break down the fat” and return in a month for more photos. When I researched this at home, I discovered that massage doesn’t actually break down fat, even after Ultraformer treatments. At that follow-up, I again asked the second colleague if she could send me my before-and-after photos. This time, she said no - even though they are photos of me - saying their policy don't allow that. She told me I’d need to fill out a form on Monday (my appointment was on a Saturday). This kind of contradicted the first consultant’s statement that reception could send them and didn't mention the form. This policy felt shady, non-transparent, and unnecessarily complicated. Instead of apologising for the lost photos or offering any form of goodwill (like a discount), they had the audacity to say thet can recommend more treatments (for which I would of course have to pay). To be fair, I am glad I tried the treatments. I do think I see some improvement when I look in the mirror or touch the treated areas, even if the official before-and-after photos don’t show much change. So it wasn’t a complete waste, and I don’t regret doing it:) What disappoints me most is how poorly the situation with the photos was handled, the lack of transparency, and the unwillingness to take responsibility. But all in all, I thank the clinic for the treatments and wish them the best, and hope such issues are handled better in the future:)
