Edit: The clinic reached out to me and explained that the issues I experienced were due to some internal disorganisation, largely because my patient coordinator had been off sick. Since then, they’ve been very helpful and kind, and things have been progressing much more efficiently. I may be undergoing a procedure with them soon, so I can’t comment on the quality of the surgery itself yet, but I’ve definitely seen an improvement in their communication and support. Original: Communication has been incredibly poor — I’ve been left waiting, waiting, waiting... I was genuinely excited to have this procedure done, especially with summer around the corner. I had planned events and outings, and this was meant to be a confidence boost — just a tweak. But instead, I’ve been left feeling ignored and like I’m the only one putting in effort to move things forward. I had my consultation in early April, and it went well. The surgeon requested a mental fitness assessment before proceeding, which I respected. I paid out of pocket for the assessment and had the report sent directly to him at the beginning of May. After that — complete silence. Almost three weeks passed, and I had to reach out myself just to confirm whether he had even received it. He replied and said he’d have the patient coordinator contact me to arrange a follow-up. Nearly two more weeks later — again, silence. I’ve heard nothing, and I feel extremely embarrassed at the thought of emailing again. It makes me look like I’m desperate or begging for the procedure, when really, I was just innocently seeking a small improvement. Now, I can’t even wear a ponytail confidently this summer because I was waiting and waiting for something that clearly wasn’t going to happen. At this point, it feels like if they didn’t want my business, they could’ve just told me directly. I would have respected the decision and honesty. To make matters worse, after reading other reviews, I’ve seen this isn’t an isolated experience — there’s a recurring pattern of patients being ignored or left in limbo. Communication and attentiveness are absolutely critical in cosmetic procedures — and as a medical student from a family of doctors, I know how essential patient trust and responsiveness are, especially when it comes to surgery. When those basics are missing, it’s a major red flag. I even asked for advice on social media without naming the surgeon, because I didn’t want to damage his reputation. He genuinely seemed kind, and I still believe this may reflect more on poor organisation within the clinic than on him personally. But at the end of the day, I’ve been left feeling completely unvalued as a paying client — and I worry that this lack of attentiveness might carry over into the procedure itself. I’ve now made the decision to walk away. I believe everything happens for a reason, and maybe this was the sign I needed to look elsewhere. I hope this review encourages the clinic to reflect on their patient care process. No one should be made to feel this dismissed when they’re trusting someone with their face.
