Gemma Barnfield leads Face Fairy as an NMC-registered advanced medical aesthetic practitioner. She holds a degree in Human Biology and a mentorship qualification, is a qualified Independent Nurse Prescriber, and began her clinical career in 2002. Gemma is a member of the British Association of Cosmetic Nurses (BACN) and the Aesthetic Complications Expert (ACE) group, and has completed advanced training including the Allergan Visionary and Distinction programmes and a three-year mentorship with Dee Hadley.

Face Fairy provides a medical-led portfolio of non-surgical treatments including anti-wrinkle injections (Botox/Azzalure), dermal fillers and lip enhancements (Juvederm), Profhilo and polynucleotide skin remodelling, The Perfect Peel chemical peel, DermaPen microneedling, dermaplaning, hyperhidrosis (underarm sweating) treatment and vitamin C infusions.
